Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely room with good views, (we were upstairs). Really nice to have a balcony. Room well equipped with everything you could want, nice to have bottled water provided. The breakfast was delicious, especially enjoyed the scrambled egg with hot smoked salmon. Richard and Val are friendly and happy to chat, really made us feel at home. Thank you. Sue and David

If you are looking for a luxury B&B, with very comfy beds, ultra clean accommodation in modern setting then Tamarin is just the ticket! Richard and Val are amazing kind hosts with nothing being too much trouble. Highly recommended.

We booked two single rooms for our son and friend who were cycling the NC500. They were midged to within an inch of packing in the ride. To top it all, our son seemed to have trodden in a nest of tics and had been trying to remove dozens the days before. They were desperate for a good night's sleep. We were grateful for the friendly welcome we received and we were only booking on their behalf. Our son and friend were so grateful, they said you went above and beyond with your welcome. They felt really comfortable in spotlessly clean, lovely rooms with gorgeous views and their breakfast was out of this world. Thank you so much for looking after them. We realise in these times how much harder it is for you running a b&b-they felt totally safe. They completed their tour thanks to your very warm hospitality.

Two friends and I called up late in the afternoon desperate for a place to avoid camping with midges and the hosts at Tamarin kindly stayed up to let us in and even went out of their way and cooked the food we brought for supper. The BnB is at the top of a hill with stunning views over the water and Ullapool. It’s modern, clean, spacious and has everything required. The hosts were very welcoming and charming and have lived in the area for 40 years so know everything they need to make for a perfect stay, including a wonderful cooked breakfast in the morning! I cannot think of anything negative to say about my night there.

Few minutes from Ullapool, just off the main road, easy access with a car but stiff climb if you are walking. It is modern, very large room and extremely large bathroom, very well equipped (coffee machine, hot rack for towels, large and new towels, etc'), sparkling clean and a fantastic view of the Loch. Richard and Valerie were very friendly and it is evident that they have a lot of experience in the business. Both were very welcoming and nice and insisted on resolving any concern. you can park the car and carry the stuff very comfortably through the garage door on the same level as the rooms are located. Breakfast was a great experience as Richard provides a menu to choose from for the cooked food and will serve it to the table. Great food and great service.

The views from our room were gorgeous. Our bedroom/sitting room was huge as were the dressing room and bath. And very nicely appointed. Val and Richard were very friendly and helpful during our short visit. Wish we could have stayed longer. We loved Ullapool.

A real gem of a B&B, very modern & well equipped, stunning views and the hosts were perfect, nothing was too much trouble for them. A biker friendly B&B, my bike was tucked up in the garage overnight and there's access from the garage directly to the guest rooms, so no going outside whilst unloading / loading your luggage. A great breakfast too, has to be one of the best I've had at any B&B. I'm hoping to return next year

Third stop on our recent North Coast 500 trip found us staying at the Tamarin B&B. The rooms are basic but very comfortable and spotlessly clean with a nice modern bathroom. The couple who run the hotel were lovely and the lady of the house makes a wonderful breakfast using eggs from her own hens that roam the gardens. The views from the rooms is spectacular overlooking Loch Broom and mountains. The only negative I can say about the room was it had the tiniest television which could be updated to make the rooms a bit better but on the whole this was a lovely little find and I would stay again.
