Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This b&b is literally a 5 minute walk from the centre of Ullapool so is convenient for restaurants, pubs, shops and the ferry. It is run by lovely people, is dog friendly and is really well furnished. Great breakfast too and our hosts, Alan and Sara, couldn't have been more accommodating.

We stayed here after returning from the Outer Hebrides to Ullapool, the room was lovely with a very comfortable bed and ensuite bathroom and tea making facilities. We were very pleased with everything and the breakfast was delicious. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. Thank you.

Fortunately we were able to get a room here after a long day travelling and no booking. We had two small dogs who were also welcome. The shower room is absolutely fantastic and spotlessly clean. Our room was above average and this was reflected in the price. Breakfast was fantastic according to my husband. Would highly recommended this B&B and would most certainly stay again.

A well situated B&B. Nicely redecorated house with three rooms. One room has a double bed and en suite. The other rooms are a double and a twin. They share a bathroom which is very large. All new furniture. Breakfast is well served and of good quality. Great hospitality as well.

Stayed here for 1 night whilst we stopped in Ullapool. Rooms are lovely neutral decor with large TV’s by B&B standards as well as tea, coffee and biscuits provided. We had room 1 and 3 which share a bathroom, bathroom has a very large shower and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was fab, fresh local produce as well as cereals, yogurts and fresh fruit provided. Great location on a quiet street with space to park outside. Sara was lovely and very welcoming, thanks! Will definitely book again and will recommend to anyone visiting Ullapool.

I stayed at Broomvale for one night in early May as part of a tour with Rabbie's. My room, double bed and pillow were all very comfortable. There were two bedside lamps which both worked, tea and coffee making equipment, good tv and an excellent ensuite shower / bathroom. The room was very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. I had a superb nights sleep. Sarah, or as I called her Sheila, is a lovely lady. The breakfast was first class with top quality fruit, cereals and full cooked breakfast. I believe it is the first time Rabbie's have used Broomvale. I would recommend they continue to do so as my stay was fabulous.

Sarah took us in at very short notice and what a lucky find for us late in the evening. We were made very welcome, the room was perfect and the bathroom amazing. So nice to have a good strong shower.
The breakfast was great but I like a couple of slices of black pudding. The next morning, there it was. Sarah had gone to the trouble to get it for me, that is something you really appreciate. We stayed three nights, Ullapool is quite central to the north-west as we were filming.
If you need a place to stay, Broomvale can't be beaten! I won't look elsewhere next time I'm in Ullapool.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We really enjoyed looking after you both and we're glad the weather improved toward the end of your stay and that you were able to get some decent filming done. We try our best to provide a good breakfast and it's great when guests tell us about any other things they want so that we can ensure that our breakfast is as good as it can be. We would be delighted to welcome you again next time that you are in Ullapool.

We had this place recommended by the information centre for a last min booking as our camper broke down.. They accepted our booking for me, my partner and our two dogs. First impressions not great, hotel lacks character and the manager was rude. Room had a dirty sock under the bed which made us question the cleanliness of the whole room. We stayed anyway as we had no choice due to it being busy and Broomvale was the only hotel in town with vacancies (understandably as it's terrible). Next day the manager tracked us down while we was having lunch to complain that we was feeding the dogs in the room (what else are we supposed to do?!) and left a half drank cup of tea on the side- after an awkward conversation he basically said if we don't pay more per night he will kick us out - knowing we had nowhere else to go. Nice bloke. So we promptly told him to stick his room & left. When we returned to the hotel to collect our bags we found some of our belongings on the step outside the hotel - the cheek!

Anyway we Found a lovely air b&b round the corner, they cooked us supper, we drank wine and had a fantastic evening.

We are so glad we moved on as we have had such a better Ullapool experience than that dirty, stale, & unwelcoming place.

DON'T STAY HERE!

We stayed here on the 7th August. There was 2 families staying so we managed to have all 3 room. This was my first stay in a BB and didn't really know what to expect. The rooms were all immaculate and comfortable. We were all made most welcome! Lovely family run BB. Breakfast was amazing with loads of fresh fruits along with our full cooked breakfasts. This BB is a must when staying in Ullapool.

Thanks for your review. Our three guest rooms lend themselves nicely to parties of 5 or 6 who require three rooms as this essentially exclusively provides all of the accommodation to the front of the house including use of the breakfast/sitting room.
