Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely scenic drive into the site and easy to find. Swift check in and grass pitch on the waters edge given. Shower block spacious and modern - shower could have been a tad warmer though and the shower block could have heating on as it’s Oct. Great washer and dryer facilities. Spacious site. Well stocked little shop and nice fresh coffees served until 6pm. Nice walk on pebble beach in the morning. A lovely stop over when on the NC500. It’s missing a little pub you could walk to, but you know that when you book. Will definitely by back.

Used as a one-night stopover on our NC500 tour. Great view from pitch (34) although not able to get level, showers and toilets behind reception were clean with these showers probably the best we experienced on this tour. Friendly staff on arrival and enjoyed the latte from the small café in reception.

Great location, the sunset was beautiful to watch on the beach. The campsite has all the required facilities and it is very clean, although it wasn’t too busy, so summer maybe different. Staff was helpful as our power tripped and they came with me immediately. My only suggestion is as the campsite (tent side) was empty why would you allocate people next to each either? We had to shorten our stay as the weather changed drastically with gust of over 40 mph and out tent got damaged. It is for sure a great stop if you are doing the NC500. Recommend and will return!

I booked this site in January 2023 for an arrival in August 2023 as a stop close to the ferry at Ullapool. We were allocated pitch 51 next to the toilet waste - not bad you might think but for the fact other users had left it open after use and the literature for the site does not warn you that your pitch may be in such close proximity (a small fence divides). Pitch 51 is not a level hardstanding pitch and levellers would sort that issue but it’s also a short pitch. Luckily we were able to find an alternative site for the evening with a better pitch. I’m sure those with pitches facing the loch have a better experience. After ten nights touring this was by far the worst site. What a disappointing rip off.

Just returned back home to lancashire after ten days at ardmair and all I can say is Fantastic. The site can't be faulted for it's views and the staff are very helpful and friendly,we also got to meet up with old acquaintances which was good. The fishing was good this year which was also great even though I was out fished by the wife. This is a site which shouldn't be over looked if you are in the area you will not be disappointed.

Despite being in a beautiful position on Ardmair point, the site was very crowded and pitches were very close to each other. There were very few showers which were always busy though generally clean.

Nice site we camped for a night had good clean facilities good shop dold fishing gear and beautiful surroundings mountains, sea sat on the flat stoned beach ive never seen that any where before and we watched the sun set there which was stunning will definitely be back next year in our camper the campers can park up facing the beach which looked like a stunning place to spend the night and Ullapools just down the road theres a tesco outdoors clothing shop hardware store ect for supplies and nice places to eat My only gripe not about the site but seen a couple of people walking there dogs on site and letting them do there business on the grassy area where the tents pitch yes they picked it up but there would still be remenents of dog mess in the grass or pee not great for pitching on for campers maybe dog owners should be told or possibly they are just ignorant people.

Check in was efficient. Small coffee house but only open until 6pm. Lots of pitches gavrvsea views and 270 degrees view. Shirt walks possible along the stone beach and past the jetty. Toilet and shower facilities were acceptable but not plush. Grey water disposal from motorhomes a little awkward but otherwise ample. WI-FI and 3G coverage was the most challenging aspect.

Worst campsite with unprofessional staff. I spent 18 nights touring the NC500 in my camper van and had stayed at a different site each night without issue. Arrived here and was given my pitch number. Discovered it was stupidly close from the site toilets and the neighbouring motor home next to us was also extremely close. The photos show the van pulled out a little bit so it doesn’t do the lack of space justice! Feeling quite exposed and having the van knocked/dog bark every time someone walked past I called reception and explained the situation asking if we could change pitch. She said no. So we left. I emailed explaining we had left and the reasons why she immediately responded saying had I let her know she could of sorted the situation, I’d literally had a discussion with her on the phone 5 mins previously! Obviously she didn’t offer any of my money back so I lost £33. Fortunately we found a lovely spacious, friendly, campsite down the road and stayed there instead. It was a very poor experience and I was really surprised at the distance between pitches. For full video footage and review head over to my YouTube channel MoorLife Adventures. I have never left somewhere I’d payed to stay before but this really was terrible.

Beautifully located campsite, 30 seconds walk from the beach. With stunning views. Area for tents was protected from the wind - amazing idea. Facilities were clean and comfortable. Place was very busy yet still quite. Campsite is located not far from Ullapool with plenty restaurants and shops.
