Detailed Reviews
We found the Riverside in Ullapool friendly professional and very clean.
The last time we stayed in Ullapool we were concerned about parking but there are plenty of spaces front and back of the Riverside.
The décor is modern and comfortable, we were allocated a double and a twin after a very simple 'Covid Friendly' booking in then given advice on where to eat, as it was getting late.
The showers are excellent and the beds very comfortable, both rooms were warm and adjusting the temperature was simple.
Tunnocks Caramel Wafers are a nice touch.
The only downside is the location lacks the magnificent views I have become custom too, but there is nothing that can be done about this.
Breakfast options were slightly reduced due to covid which is understandable, we opted for full cooked breakfast which was very good and service was faster than most places we stay, which is important when on tour. I cannot remember if the full cooked said 'Scottish' but this is not what I consider a full Scottish, yet it filled us up until lunch.
The Riverside was good value for money and I would certainly stay here again as well as recommend it as accommodation for our guests.

Ullapool is not large and Riverview Guest House is a few minutes walk from the main shoping and dining area. As we walked down on the Saturday evening we both made the same comment
- it reminds me of New Zealand.
The accommodatin is confortable, clean well appointed.
Servvice was friendly and very helpful in finding somewhere to dine.
A very welcome surprise at breadfast ws the Continental option. This was ham, cheeses, grapes etc and no soggy pain au chocolat or chewy croiosants. After a week of full cooked breadfasts this was most welcome and very satisfying.

A wonderful welcome was waiting for my partner and I on arrival at 9.30pm after a brutally long day in the saddle in gale force winds and carrying heavy panniers from Applecross to Ullapool. Charlie had been worried that we weren’t going to make it but we are so glad that we did as The Riverside was just what we needed! Spotlessly clean, warm and a very comfy bed. We were able to wash clothes and Charlie, his wife and staff very kindly put them all in the dryer for us.
A fantastic breakfast the next morning set us up for the day ahead and the third stage of our adventure up to Durness.
Thank you very much to Charlie and all at The Riverside. When, not if we return to Ullapool, we will definitely stay with you again.

Stayed here overnight before catching the Stornoway ferry next morning. I stayed in a single room which was a reasonable size with an excellent shower, tea / coffee, TV and powerful Internet. The bed was very comfortable and everything spotless. Breakfast was outstanding with freshly cooked high quality ingredients (including stunning black pudding) and the atmosphere was relaxed. Charlie was a great host, a nice balance of friendly service and letting you get on. A great experience, I'll come back here and would recommend without reservation.

Stayed just one night, on our trip around the NC500.
Very convenient to walk into Ullapool , the Guesthouse was comfortable , spotless and the breakfast was really enjoyable.
The owner was knowledgeable about the area and information ref places to eat. We chose the "Deli ca Sea" Fish and Chips and ate them on the pier, fresh caught Haddock straight from the boats in Ullapool, very nice.

I stayed here recently for 1 night. The room was a reasonable size, but there was a limited amount of noise from other rooms. There's off-road parking but I'm not sure whether there are enough spaces for the number of rooms that they have. Breakfast options were a little bit limited (offering a 'traditional' rather than 'full' Scottish breakfast) and the service felt a bit impersonal, but that may just be due to Covid. The B&B is in a good location, only a few minutes walk from the town centre.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our one night stay at the Riverside Guest House. Room was modern and immaculately clean. Parking was conveniently available out front. We were about 3 blocks from a very large Grocery and about 4 to 5 blocks (an easy walk) to the main area where the restaurants and boats were. Everything was easy regarding check-in and check-out. Be aware that they do not charge upfront with booking, so payment occurs upon your arrival. The morning breakfast provided was well done with several options. Great stay and would highly recommend! (Make sure you eat at the Seafood Shack. The food from this little food truck was amazing, and the gin drinks close by were also outstanding).
