Carla and Antonio couldn’t have made us more welcome, they epitomise the true spirit of hospitality. They were particularly kind to my dad who was celebrating a special birthday. Great location seconds from the ferry terminal and private parking opposite the house. Beautiful rooms - loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom, and quality tea/coffee in the room. The bed was comfy, the shower one of the best I’ve had, and the views spectacular. The second floor room is up a narrow windy staircase so but we were offered help with our luggage. Breakfast was superb, including an excellent range of vegetarian options. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy relaxing in the conservatory and lounge. Our visit was a stopover after the ferry but we would definitely return to Waterside House for a weekend. break. Thank you Carla and Antonio for making our brief stay so special.

Excellent boutique B&B. Hosts Carla & Antonio, gave us a lovely warm welcome and are around to answer any questions you might have. Fab location for ferry with private parking across the road. Rooms are small but very comfortable and well equipped, with a great en-suite shower. The staircase up to the second floor is quite narrow so maybe not ideal for those with mobility limitations. The breakfast was delicious and all the produce locally sourced.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms up quite a narrow steep staircase but worth it for the view.

This is a fantastic bed and breakfast. The rooms are spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. The hosts are amazing. The breakfast is also amazing. I had a vegetarian breakfast and my husband had the full Scottish breakfast and the food was superb. If you are visiting Ullapool then this little bed and breakfast is not only reasonablly priced, but is outstanding. Can highly recommend.

Wow! The house is very beatiful and the room has a fantastic view on Loch Broom anb the harbour. Super nice room, comfy and very modern. Big bathroom with everything provided. Breakfast is simply delicious, with multiple choices. Everything perfect, but Carla and Antonio are the real deal! Fantastic hosts, attentive to detail and to every need you might have. Stayed for one night prior to ferry to Stornoway. The welcome was friendly, nothing was a bother. The house, facilities and room were spotlessly clean and had everything we could have needed. The room was lovey, high end finishes throughout the house. Carla and Antonio were brilliant hosts, their attention to detail is impeccable and they were so friendly. Breakfast was lovely too. They went above and beyond. Thank you both. We look forward to coming back and would highly recommend.

The trip down from Durness was challenging at times (we took the Kylesku Coast Road after seeing the bridge) but ultimately worth it. Ullapool is an absolute delight and the Waterside was the perfect place to be. Designated parking spaces right on the sea front and met at our car by Antonio. He and his wife Carla make the Waterside even more special. Our room overlooked the ocean and we were treated to the annual regatta right outside our window. Ample places to eat and drink in the evening. Whilst smaller than some of the rooms we had on our trip, everything we could have wanted was there (even under floor heating in the bathroom). Breakfast (cooked by Carla and served by Antonio) was ordered the night before from a wide range of options and served at the end of the lounge area next to a big, light conservatory. Matching crockery was all locally made and it’s evident that a lot of thought and care has been put into the Waterside. The food was excellent. Despite being slightly cheaper than some of the B&Bs we stayed at on our trip this was one of our favourites. Highly recommended
