Was lucky to find a place to stay last minute at Ullapool. The hosts were welcoming and the room was just fab! (South room) The room included breakfast with homemade jams and granola were so thoughtful! Absolutely would visit again.

A fabulous choice for a short break in Ullapool. Angus and Jill made us feel at home straight away. The views are truly memorable, our room was spotlessly clean and all sorts of extras were provided (fudge and lovely hand soap among others!). I loved having breakfast served in the room (at a time of our choosing) and what's more it was delicious - including homemade jam and granola, freshly baked croissants, delicious fresh fruit and Jill's berry compote. There's excellent ground coffee for use in a cafetiere in your room, or a Nespresso machine in the lounge if you need a top up before leaving. Angus's wonderful photos seemed to bring the majestic light and scenery inside, and his advice on day trips in the area was a great help. If you're lucky enough to find a vacancy here, don't miss it!

This place is excellent. In location with amazing views of the Loch. The host Angus and his wife do an amazing job with breakfasts and all the little things that make the place so special. He is quite an accomplished photographer and has books and photos on display. The Scottish stoneware and foodstuffs are well presented and breakfasts are quite sumptuous!! A great choice of place to stay...you will be spoiled!!

Fabulous place to stay. Warm welcome, lovely room (West View). The breakfast was amazing. Homemade granola and fruit compote. Choice of cereals, homemade bread, very appetising fruit selection, warm croissants, delivered to your door with a choice of jams. There’s also yoghurt and fresh juice in the fridge. There’s a lovely, calm sitting room for guests, with a coffee machine and a variety of teas and biscuits. A very relaxing place to sit after a walk. Angus and Jill are really welcoming. It’s a shame it’s such a long way from home, as we’d make it a regular stop for a few days away. We’d definitely recommend it.

Excellent B&B on the harbourfront in Ullapool. Our room had a stunning view over Loch Broom with some beautyfull sunsets. Room was nice and clean and we were served a great continental breakfast in the room. House on the Point also has private parking right outside the door. Angus is a lovely host and gave us several good tips about hiking oppertunities around Ullapool. Would recommend anyone to stay here.

For our most recent stay, we were in the “South” room which has double aspect windows. Both windows giving wonderful views of the Loch, one giving view across Loch Broom in a Westerly direction, with the other looking South down Loch Broom. The room and facilities are well thought out and well presented. The room has a small silent fridge with milk, yoghurt, juice and a jar of homemade fruit compote . All of these form part of the continental breakfast. The toast croissants and fresh fruit are delivered outside of your room door at your chosen time. Angus is very friendly and professional with great local knowledge. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his House on the Point bed and breakfast.

This really is a wonderful b&b...in fact outstanding. The bed is so comfortable with lovely bedding. Everything smells fresh & well laundered. The room is spacious, tea/coffee facilities & a small fridge with fresh milk for drinks. The views from the windows just dont come any better than this..looking out over Loch Broom. Continental breakfast served daily to your room, soaking up that view over breakfast is just the very best..warm croissants, toast & the best homemade jam, cereals yoghurt, fresh fruit & orange juice..beautifully presented too. A lovely comfortable lounge is there to relax in also, with a selection of fine coffees. The owners are lovely & on hand to help you or answer questions, these owners truly know how to host, everything is 1st class. Thank you for our wonderful stay, we will definitely be back. We highly reccommend The House on the Point.

The house is clean, cozy, and well located. We saw the most amazing sunset! Angus, our host, is warm and welcoming. Breakfast is a continental one, and the croissants were delicious. We only wished we could have stayed longer and would definitely come back again!

The House on the Point is just brilliant in so many ways. Everything is done really well - the breakfast in the room was just what we wanted, the food, the furnishings, the location were all top quality, and the host knew how to do everything really well. We don’t often do traditional B+Bs, but this experience would certainly make us think about doing it again.
