After returning on the ferry around 6pm, I decided to stay over rather than driving to the Glasgow area at night. I just stumbled upon Point Cottage and very happy I did. Lovely one night stay in a very comfortable bed and with a beautiful view of Loch Broom from the window. Cathy was friendly and welcoming, and even brought... More

Very welcoming host who also makes gorgeous ice cream! The rooms were wonderful, very comfortable bed and great views, hence the name Point Cottage. You can watch the ferry coming and going quite silently. The room even had a mini fridge with fresh milk and water (as it's a room only rate). This did not cause any issues at all,... More

Lovely one-night stay before taking the ferry to Stornoway. The room and the view were both stunning, the attention to detail of the room and the view across the water. The fact that breakfast is not available didn't worry us as we were getting the morning ferry and had breakfast on board. Point cottage is very well placed for the... More

I love it. The view on Loch Broom is beautiful and there are even binoculars in the room. It's clean, cosy. There is tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh milk in the mini refrigerator. The owner is very nice. They also sell delicious ice cream. I would definitely come back and stay longer.

Nice B&B with a beautiful view on the Loch Broom. The room was small but comfortable and very quiet. Near the B&B there is a stone beach with amazing sunsets. Thanks to Cathy for the kind hospitality.

We used Point Cottage as a base for touring part of the north west of Scotland. The picture doesn't really do it justice, as you can't see the wonderful views over the loch! You have to be there, as they say. Even the fairly grim weather didn't spoil our stay, as the room and bathroom were both immaculate. Although the... More

What Point Cottage has as it's best asset is it's location which is right on the waterfront of Ullapool. This affords not only lovely views, but a good location to access the pubs, restaurants, and other shops around the town. This is not your typical B&B though, as it offers only rooms, so you will need to seek breakfast from... More
