We recently stayed for two weeks in this wonderful accommodation for the second time and have already booked up for our next visit. Having stayed in other properties in the Luskentyre area we can vouch for this being the one which offers the most stunning views of the incredible beach which is a few minutes walk away. Agnes and Bill are excellent hosts and kindly supplied us with fresh vegetables and eggs. Bill provided us with maps of the island and recommended walks and beaches to visit and has a wealth of local knowledge. Along with the apartment there is also a fantastic modern B&B with large double bedroom complete with en-suite in the main house which also has fantastic beach views. All in all a great holiday and we’re looking forward to our next visit!

Stayed in the self catering apartment in February 2022 and it was simply stunning. The flat is very well equipped and the views across the bay and the Luskentyre beach are breathtaking. Although the owners were not on site during our stay they stayed unobtrusively in contact by text. Had a great week despite the weather and would hope to return soon.

There have been a lot of reviews complimenting this property and they are so so true. The property is located just yards from the beautiful beaches of Harris, the constantly changing weather meant that you were never bored watching the landscape change! This self catering property is fully equipped with every you would ever need and the quaility of the furnishings, equipment and the overall house was exceptional. The hosts Bill and Agnes were not at site when we stayed, but were always available to deal with any questions that arose via telephone.
This was my 3rd visit to Harris in recent years and can safely say that this is the best yet and comes highly recommended

What can I say, this place was situated in the most beautiful location ever. It was just jaw dropping.. My friend and I, were lucky enough to stay here for a week, at the beginning of April. The owners were unfortunately away at the time, however, we were looked after by the wonderful Dot. We had fresh eggs, from the lovely hens. We were surrounded by an abundance of wildlife. The apartment was spotless, and very well equiped. Very comfortable, with a lovely peat burning stove. We had our own private access gate on to the beach. The view from every window was just stunning, the colours changed, whatever the weather. Luskentyre Beach has got to be one of the best beaches in the world. We spent many hours on the sands, in the dunes. Flying our kite. It was just breathtaking. One of the most spectacular locations ever. We were very sad to leave here, we really were. We felt very privileged to have been able to stay here in such luxury, and beautiful surroundings.
P.S Agnes & Bill, If you ever need a housesitter, and Dot is not available. Then be sure to give us a call. Ali & Angela.

Stayed in Agnes's lovely apartment overlooking luskentyre estuary for a week at Easter. Amazing views and straight out of the garden to the sands and round the corner to luskentyre beach - walked on the beach every day - so beautiful and different colours each day depending on weather and tides- had gorgeous sun to snow and sleet and loved it all
The apartment is warm and cosy and very comfy bed, all mod cons not to mention fresh eggs from the hens and some lovely welcome homemade scones
Love Harris especially Luskentyre and hope to return for a 3rd visit- would definitely choose this apartment - perfect!!

Luskentyre Holidays Self-catering apartment.

The most wonderful location with spectacularly beautiful views of Luskentyre beach
(even without having to move from the luxury of the sofa). The generous hospitality
we recieved from Bill and Agnes made our stay an absolute pleasure. The apartment is
perfect - spotlessly clean and as cosy as a cottage but with all mod cons
(probably the highest standard of kitchen equipment either of us has ever used!) The
peat burning stove lends a gorgeously cosy warmth (there is central heating as well).
Lovely bath and shower. The self catering apartment is detached from the main house
and not overlooked so it feels very private, which is lovely.
The beach is literally on your doorstep and when you have got your breath back from
the sheer beauty, the walk around the headland towards Taransay is a delight - the
view of the North Harris mountains majestic. Beach - Sea - Mountains - Sky what more
could anyone wish? Actually we dont know why we're writing all this because we'd
really much rather no-one else knew about it! :-)
p.s. Agnes' scones are the BEST.

This must be the most beautiful B&B in the world! Barabhas is situated at the remote village of Luskentyre on the island of Harris, the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. It overlooks an amazing beach of soft white sand where the play of light on the ever changing colours of the turquoise sea is mesmerising. The house has two huge en suite rooms and the whole place is of the highest quality and finishes, immaculately clean and very comfortable - six stars would not be enough. Breakfast eggs come from the hens which meet you at the gate! Agnes and Bill could not possibly do more for their guests, whether in the B&B or the next door self-catering flat which accommodates one couple and is equally delightful. After an idyllic week with unexpectedly glorious weather we can't wait to return!

What a truly amazing place, I have never stayed in a self catering property where so much thought had gone into the facilities provided , and that had views that meant you could spend hours just looking out of the window , or weather permitting sit with a cuppa on the balcony and let time drift by. Our host Bill could not have been more helpful with ideas for days out, places to eat and general knowledge of the area. And the fresh eggs from his hens were perfect for breakfast. If you want a little bit of paradise I can't recommend this beautiful place highly enough .

My partner and I returned from this wonderful accommodation in the most wonderful location only yesterday. The holiday on Harris was fantastic and this is the only place to stay! Agnes and Bill are kind, generous, thoughtful and go out of their way to ensure everything is just right to make your stay simply perfect. The flat is equipped with everything you could possibly need. It is spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and has views that are breathtaking. Bill is full of useful information about the island so you are able to make the most out of your stay. It was very hard to leave and we will certainly be returning, hopefully during the wintertime to make the most of the peat fire and maybe see the Aurora. Thank you both for our perfect holiday.

We have just returned home from Luskentyre having spent 5 absolutely fabulous days with Agnes & Bill. We had the pleasure of staying in the Taransay Room which was perfect in all ways and to be able to wake up with such a magical vista - wow! The welcome that we had from both Agnes and Bill was second to none, in fact it was the best ever! Nothing is too much trouble for this lovely couple. Agnes' breakfasts were exceptional and her home baking delicious. I came away with 3 recipes, what more can I say. And Bill's knowledge of places to visit and Highland life in general was invaluable to us and his peat fire was wonderful.
This was our first visit to Harris and it truly was everything that we'd hoped for. To walk along the fantastic beach and to have it all to ourselves was just marvelous.
Our thanks to Agnes and Bill for making this such a perfect holiday!
