Location location location !!! What a fabulous place to stay. I don't think the website photos and description do this place justice. It is totally equipped with all the comforts of home. It used to be a B + B so all the bedrooms are ensuite. The views from both the upstairs and downstairs balconies are superb. It is also...

We spent a week at Grimisdale self catering the house is in a great location for a family holiday the beaches are not that far away and you can also fish in the loch at the back of the house Having stayed here before when it was a bed and breakfast with Farky and Danielle we would highly recommend this...

Basically agree with Becky Twigs review - not much to add. Very expensive for an average B and B with a limited breakfast. There are not many places to stay in the area so the owner can pretty well charge what he wants.

We stayed in 'St.Kilda' Room which has views of the car park, for 3 nights during a trip of the Outer Hebrides and Isle of Skye. The host 'Farky' greeted us with a warm welcome, he is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area, for recommendations for eating out and local attractions. The guest house has a very 'homely' feel...

Very nice B&B, room was spotless, fluffy towels and we were given a very warm welcome. Great location for our cycling, just a two minute cycle from the ferry. The owner gave us a lift to the local restaurant which was very kind, and much appreciated after a long day on the bikes! Slightly over priced in my opinion. Food...

Great hotel in the countryside of Lewis & Harris. Very scenic drive out to the hotel and peaceful little town surrounding it. Room was very comfortable and the hosts was friendly. We left too early for breakfast (had to catch the ferry back). Also, no joke, the towels were extremely pleasant.

Based on their website we were prepared to be impressed. The first impression on entering was a hall cluttered with cardboard boxes and a vacuum cleaner. We were given an attic room on the first floor with the most compact ensuite with shower we have ever seen. . No room to hang bath towels which had to go on a...

We stayed here for a few nights last year as a base for our trip from Leverbugh to St Kilda. Grimisdale was a good place to stay, very comfortable, friendly host, good breakfast and in a convenient position, not far from the ferry from Berneray. It was possible to walk to the pier and also to the Anchorage restaurant at...

We have just returned from Grimisdale once again and will definately be back. Our party of eight - 4 adults and 4 children stayed for 4 nights and all agreed that Grimisdale is by far the best b&b that we have stayed at hence the return visit. Our hosts Farky and Danielle gave us a warm welcome after our long...
