Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Vey well planned room on ground floor. Freindly owners. No breakfast available but a few cafes close by. Plenty of space. Adequate parking. handy for town. Close to Theatr Mwldan shops and castle. Not much to do in Cardigan but we had a pleasant stay. March not the best time for the beach.

The room was clean and comfortable, though we were told not to use the bath as it leaked into the room below. The location is excellent. However there is no breakfast and £160 per night for a small room for three people with no breakfast is excessive, even in these inflationary times.

We paid a lot of money (£130) for one night stay at the guest house. Single pane glass and a very busy road didn’t lead to a great nights sleep. Also my little boy was so excited to have a go in the jacuzzi bath but when we turned it on lots of black mould came shooting out and that put an end to bath time. It was a nice building and we really enjoyed Cardigan but the price for this guest house was far above what it should’ve been.

Stayed here for 3 nights last weekend. Brother and his wife had a double room and I had a single room. Both rooms were spotless and beds were very comfortable. Thank you to Gary and Sally for a lovely welcome and we only had to ask if we needed anything and they were very obliging. Would certainly recommend here if you are staying in Cardigan and we are definitely hoping to return.

Me and my son had a lovely 2 night stay in the twin room. The room was spotless and the beds/ bedding were really comfy. Barely heard a sound from outside the room and the owners were lovely! Would definitely recommend a stay here. Thank you !!!!

We booked this as my birthday weekend away and I put a review on booking.com and the owners reply, I thought was a bit rude. I simply stated that my payment was taken from my card before we got there which is wrong. We wanted to pay some on my husbands card but was unable to as the payment had been taken, when it says on booking.com that its taken on arrival. Also they don't offer breakfast and yes it says this but we couldn't book anything else so booked here. Its not nice to have to go and find a cafe and one that's actually open early enough. The owner didn't like I had put my review as anonymous, which wasn't done purposely. He was friendly enough when we arrived and it was clean and comfortable. The spa bath was lovely as well. Cardigan town itself is a bit run down, although the surrounding area is beautifu. I have put a screenshot of my review on booking.com and the reply

Just spent 2 nights in this truly lovely guesthouse. The room we had was exceptional in every way. The bed was beautifully comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. There were extra milk/coffee/tea/toiletries provided to which you could help yourself without having to ask. Gary,,the owner, was welcoming and helpful. Next time we visit we will be staying again- would be difficult to find anywhere better.

Gary's car stood in front of the garage partly in the the solitary disabled bay throughout our two days - difficult to know how this is supposed to work. Clean and tidy in all areas. The need to open the front door with a similar key as was needed to open the bedroom door was a challenge. Convenient for restaurants. The nearest for breakfasts does not open on Sundays. We prefer bed and breakfast as was the offer at this establishment. Did things change with Covid-19?

My husband and I stayed here for two nights earlier this week. We were immediately made very welcome by Gary who offered to help us with our luggage. The guesthouse is in a perfect position at the top of the town with many eateries nearby. The room was bright and luxurious and spotlessly clean and the spa bath was a wonderful addition and provided us with just the relaxation we needed after a long drive from Dorset. Gary and Sally were so very friendly and kind - offering advice for our long awaited move to the area - thank you again for a perfect stay!

I wasn't going to write a review here as I wrote one on booking.com however the owners response was so defensive ill just leave screenshot in the comments. In response to their response, we were NOT told to leave rubbish outside room. After 5 days I cannot believe they were not emptied. We were NOT told that money would be taken before arrival, and looking at other reviews other customers are also not happy about this. Regardless of when you were told about my son having an accident in the bed it is your duty as owners to change the beds. Leaving clean sheets in my room is just rude and unprofessional! We were NOT told that the garden and terrace would be closed. I cannot believe the price of this B&B for what you get. We were not told to fill up our own tea and coffee ! We literally paid nearly £300 just for a bed to sleep in. And in response to your comments about the windows, it is not a quiet room with minimal sound, you can hear everything outside all night! No air con its absolutely boiling. I would not stay here in summer months it is so uncomfortable. Next time someone leaves an honest review which they are entitled to do maybe just take on the constructive criticism to improve your B&B
