Lovely clean, tidy and safe place to stay. Owner very friendly and gave good advice about local area. Place kept very clean and followed safety guidelines well. Car parking available on side street which was safe.Easy walk into town for all food places for breakfast/lunch and dinner. Or Spar shop nearby which also does food to go and coffees.
Would stay again and highly recommend.

Ty-Parc is a very professional, family-run B&B/guest house of the highest quality. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Breakfasts were a true treat. The family is very nice and helpful. They even lent us their TomTom to compare it to Garmin when we went on a day trip. Parking is in-street, but as the guest house is next to the playing field, there is ample parking. We enjoyed our stay very much.

My wife and I stayed here for a night on our tour of the southwest and Wales.
We booked it based upon previous glowing reviews on Tripadvisor. Our initial reaction was that there a few too many notices around the place telling what we should and shouldn't do but I guess that this was just a minor irritation.
The room we had was comfortable and the breakfast was good.
However, there was a minus point that wasn't resolved to our satisfaction. The guest house is advertised as having free wi-Fi throughout. When we arrived, we were unable to access the facility in our room and the owner admitted that there had been some problems. He suggested that we could look at our emails on the landing, where it was available, or got to a pub in town where I could watch the football that I intended to watch. There was no way that I wanted either of those options. When it was obvious that we weren't going to be able to access it in our room, which is a facility that we always require, we paid £5 to access it via BT Openzone. We mentioned the fact 3 times that we had paid £5 for the facility that was advertised as being free but this was fact was ignored at the time by the owner and was not reflected as a reduction within the bill when we came to settle up the following morning. We didn't raise the issue then as we wanted to get away but felt that this was a bad PR move by the owner.
We thus left irritated from an otherwise decent place to stay and cannot recommend it to others as a result.

Called in to make enquiries for a room. Gentleman (if you could call him that) advised a room was available and we asked very politely if we could see the room. Was told in no uncertain terms that they do not do "tours". Husband said wife likes to check the rooms. He repeated they do not do "tours" then very rudely told my husband to go and he was not going to give us a room for the night. Now what was that all about? Had a bad day? Fortunately we came across another lovely B&B down the road. Was greeted with a smile and first thing they said to us...."would you like to look at the room?". We stayed and folks were wonderful. Perhaps the prevoius gent needs a lesson from these folks! Never been treated so rudely before. Be warned of the "grump".

I thought long and hard about leaving a review at all. This B&B has what you'd think would be everything to make for a pleasant stay... but it just wasn't somehow, it really didn't 'gel'.

I stay in hotels all across the UK, several times a week for work. I stayed with my husband and, whilst I'm very particular about my hotel rooms, he is not. He didn't like it either.

This is what irked us:
* List of 'rules'. This isn't necessary when adults are your target audience.
* No food allowed in rooms - when an establishment doesn't serve food outside breakfast time, this is something that should be communicated clearly pre-booking so that guests can stop off somewhere beforehand if they want to.
* Feeble 'power shower'.
* Bath towels lavishly embroidered but the size of a hand-towel. Would prefer no embroidery but a bath sheet.
* Feels very much like guests are intruding in a private house. This was the overriding feeling actually, for both of us.

This was great:
* DVD library.
* Breakfast served at top speed in the morning by a very cheerful man; good selection of cereals and fruits/yoghurts.
* Wifi worked - Room 2.

We didn't sleep very well but that could be due to being overtired. There's nothing particularly wrong with this guest house but we wouldn't go back, it just felt 'wrong'.

We spent 3 nights B & B at Ty-Parc. Excellent accomodation with superb decor. Generous hospitality and ample breakfast. Ideal for town centre and area generally. Can't fault anything. Look no further we won't.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights recently and we were amazed at the quality of everything we encountered. The whole house was immaculate, inside and out. The breakfast was one of the best we have eaten, including dried fruit and blueberries to put on cereal, and a full Welsh hot breakfast cooked to perfection. The room we stayed in was large with high ceilings, complete with a modern bathroom, toilet and shower. We slept well and went off for our day, actually looking forward to our return to Ty-Parc later in the day so we could relax. Our stay was a cut above the rest and I complement our hosts for their attention to detail that made our stay memorable.

First the positives. The location is nice and quiet; on a side road, five to ten minutes’ walk (up hill) from the town centre with several supermarkets close by. The rooms are fine for a B&B and were nice and clean. The breakfast is excellent and there is a helpful display of leaflets about local attractions available.
The Wi-Fi was patchy, I could log on but the signal kept dropping. Its fine if you are just using it to check a web site for opening hours or bus times, but if you were trying to stream something to keep kids quiet it would be a problem.
What left a sour note was when I checked out, and asked if I could leave my bag in the hall in order to look around town before catching a bus later in the day. Obviously, it’s a B&B so no one expects secure storage like in a hotel or for the owners to hang around waiting for you to get back. However, I have never stayed in a place claiming to welcome walkers that would not let you leave your bag for a few hours out of the way in a corner.
Eventually after a ten minute argument, being lectured about how I was being unreasonable, the owners agreed, but left me with the distinct impression they were doing me a huge favour. If you plan to do everything by the book, I’d still recommend staying here, but if there is any chance you think you’ll arrive late or leave late or do anything out of the ordinary I’d think twice.
