About

#1 of 3 small hotels in Cardigan

Value
The hotel is designed to celebrate the town’s maritime heritage, balancing contemporary services, comfort and style with the very particular qualities of these heritage buildings. Much of the original fabric of the buildings is left exposed. Pencil sketches from the mid 19th century of tall ships and calculations of rope lengths and sail canvas cover much of the internal lime washed walls of the third floor. Priceless ghosts.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Yet another small town bar that thinks it's in Cardiff and hence, is cashless. Visited one evening, were delighted with the atmosphere, heard 'sorry we don't accept cash' and walked straight back out again. Are they lazy or stupid? It's a small town bar with MANY options and I would have thought they would have grabbed all the income available with both hands. If this pub were a dog, it would be a chihuahua.

We came here for coffee a few times while on holiday last year and really good. We came here today for coffee and I can honestly say the chap gave us the worst coffee I’ve ever had and I drink a lot of barista coffee. Tasted like bisto gravey granules and that took effort using a coffee machine ! Retraining needed I’m afraid of coffee making and attitude…I regret not saying at the time and not paying…

What a fabulous unique hotel. Room was spectacular overlooking the river and everything was of a very high quality from pillows, cushions to bathroom products. Staff were very accommodating and breakfast comprised of high quality produce. A really exceptional stay.

Beautiful hotel. One of, if not the best hotel in the area! Great for some food, drinks or a coffee with work. I often visit for a couple hours to work from the laptop. Highly recommend trying out the soap! Best soap of all time.

Amazingly stylish hotel sympathetic to the heritage building. Perfectly equipped comfortable rooms with lovely design touches. Breakfast and evening meal both delicious and well presented with a complementary drink upon arrival. Staff were all helpful and friendly. All in all could ‘r have asked for anything more. Really lovely break in this modern hotel overlooking the river Teifi in Cardigan. The rooms are comfortable and modern, the bar is relaxing and trendy and the staff just can’t do enough to ensure your experience is top notch…my wife loved Evie and Dylan’s customer service so much that she bought an expensive blanket from the display! We’ll be back!

Cozy converted warehouse on the river in Cardigan. Rooms are small but well equipped, with excellent showers. Welcome drink in the bar and very good smorgasbord breakfast. Bear in mind that the restaurant in the hotel is only open Thu-Sun and has a very limited menu.

Beautifully restored building with such high attention to detail. Cosy and welcoming bar with great cocktails and service. Would recommend booking a room with a loading door to make the most of the views across the river. Excellent small plates served but also other options within walking distance too - Yr Hen Printworks being the highlight, pizza tipi also great for casual food. Casual help-yourself breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and great coffee. We took a long walk via Saint Dogmaels to Poppit sands then on to Cemaes head which was lovely! Thank you Jack and the rest of the staff for a great stay!

Genuinely exceeded expectations. The overall atmosphere in the hotel was warm and relaxed, we were welcomed with a free drink at the bar and spent most of our time on the terrace overlooking the river Teifi, or in our room which had wonderful views. Walking distance to town with lots of dinner options to chose from. Really impressed, looking forward to our next stay.
