We have just returned from a weekend stay at Aber House and I can honestly say it felt like home from the very beginning. The hosts, Steve and Tracey are so welcoming and look after you as soon as you step foot in the door. They have recently taken over at Aber House and have certainly made huge steps into making it what it is today. They have managed to update the rooms without taking away from that traditional homely feel. Our room was clean and had all necessary facilities available. The breakfast offer is certainly something to shout about, we had a Full English Breakfast each morning and would certainly recommend this to all who visit, compliments to the chef. There are alternative options such as cereals, yogurts etc. and if there isn't anything on the menu that takes your fancy, the hosts are more than willing to source whatever it is you need. The location certainly proves to be a bonus as you are on the doorstep of the beach, all local amenities and a stones throw away from other local villages if you want to venture out for the day. I would certainly recommend staying at Aber House and we will be sure to be returning again in the future!

We stayed for 3 days only booking 5 days prior and how lucky we were. This B& B is amazing, 300 yes old and grade 2 listed has been refurbished to the highest standard and with true personality. The location is excellent, in the centre of Barmouth ideally situated for any preference, sightseeing, beach or just walking around, carparking is also a major bonus. The room we stayed in was spacious with fresh linen, and all the facilities you would need, tea & coffee great with fresh milk available at your leisure. The shower room was large , very spacious freshly laundered towels and great shower.
It is immaculately clean and so much thought into all the detail of this building is truly awesome.
Breakfast: Wow, where do we start, I think its true to say Anything and everything and everything is cooked to perfection. even choice of coffee strength, which is replenished as needed, the breakfast here is literally the best you will ever find and cooked by the owners is amazing. Although we didn't sample afternoon tea, we were subject to the delightfull sights in the well stocked refrigerators which are home made and looked amazing. We are so lucky to have been fortunate enough to stay at this wonderful B& B and would recommend anyone to stay whatever purpose of their visit.
It is also worth noting the owners of this B& B are the most welcoming and helpful you will find . Truly worth a visit and we will revisit again soon.

We have previously stayed at Aber House because the location is excellent, but this was the first time since Tracey and Steve have taken over and we were certainly not disappointed.

Tracey and Steve are extremely hospitable and thoughtful hosts, who make you feel welcome from the get go. When we arrived they welcomed us on the beautiful patio with drinks before showing us up to our room and helping with our luggage.

The rooms have been upgraded, which is fantastic as this beautiful three hundred year old house really deserves it and had been getting rather tired and neglected under previous owners, which is certainly not the case now.

We stayed in room six, which had great views and lovely window seats in which to admire them. We were impressed with the little touches in the room, such as DVDs, books, toys and teddies which our daughter loved. The room was very comfortable and we all slept really well, no easy feat when you are seven months pregnant and have a small child!

Breakfast was outstanding, well cooked and great quality. Great consideration had been given to sittings to ensure good social distancing and in closing the café off so it was residents only, so we felt very safe throughout our stay.

Tracey also without any prompting always had our daughter's cooked breakfast ready first which meant we were not sat blowing it cool whilst ours were neglected, it was at a perfect temperature for her with her own set of children's cutlery and nothing was too much trouble, if you wanted more of anything at all then it was given.

We throughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return!

Me and my husband just returned from a two night stay at Aber House. Steve and Tracey, new owners, have been updated it to a high standard, nothing is to much trouble and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was lovely and was in a central location. Also parking was a bonus, we stayed in room 6 which is the family room which provided lots of space. Highly recommend for families looking for some time away.

Me and my partner came to stay here for a night. The new owners Tracey & Steve were so welcoming and gave us everything we needed during our stay. The bedroom we stayed in was cosy and warm with a lovely view of Barmouth high street. The breakfast we were given on our leaving day was simple but a lovely full english breakfast just the right amount. The location of Aber House is right on the doorstep of everything you need, beach is 2 minutes away and the town is right outside. So ideal.
Will 100% be back a few times this year! Thankyou both so much!

If I could give more than 5 stars then I would! Tracey and Steve are the most amazing hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them, even volunteering to be our witnesses at our secret wedding(they were fantastic witnesses!), friendly, warm people who go above and beyond. Aber House has been improved beyond recognition in the year they have owned it, a very tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, welcoming place to stay. Breakfast is delicious with so much choice and limitless tea, coffee, toast. My husband said the poached eggs were the best he's tasted and I was lucky enough to sample Steve's homemade wholemeal bread and teacakes, both absolutely yummy. Aber House is in a central location with easy access to shops/beach/harbour. We arrived as strangers and left as friends, we are already planning our next trip.

We recently stayed at Aber House. It's such a beautiful building. Interior and rooms are warm and welcoming. Location is perfect for exploring Barmouth. The town centre and the beach is on your doorstep. Tracey and Steve are the new owners and they are so friendly and accommodating, they can't do enough for you!
We stayed in a family room with an adjoining room with bunk beds, my daughter loved it.
Breakfast was lovely and take away from a local restaurant across the road was organised for us on request and it was delicious

Just home from a long, relaxing weekend at Aber House and would 100% recommend it if you're looking for a warm, welcoming (and clean) place to stay in the heart of Barmouth.

Tracey and Steve were the epitome of wonderful hosts, making us feel relaxed and welcome in their beautiful guesthouse. Having never visited the area previously, and with 2 teenage girls to occupy, the friendly advice and recommendations on places to try for dinner were very well received.

Our room and the communal areas were spotless and the breakfast was tasty and plentiful :)

It was our first time staying here but it won't be the last, hope to see you again soon. Thank you! xx

Originally booked for 2 nights but asked to stay for an extra night as we enjoyed it so much. The whole place is spotless and the family atmosphere the owners have created is wonderful. The food is cooked by the owner who is a very accomplished. The breakfast is excellent but the cakes and scones are to die for. All in all the best guest house we have ever stayed at and well worth the reasonable prices they charge. We will definitely be back soon.

Being our first visit to Barmouth we stayed at the Aber House for 2 nights with our 5 year old. Steve and Tracey were fantastic hosts very friendly and made us all feel very welcome, always ensuring we had all we needed for our 5 year old. The B and B is in a great central location with beautiful views, close to the beach, harbour, shops and restaurants all within a very short walking distance. The room was bigger than the pictures on the website, clean and very relaxing. Breakfast was outstanding. We took some freshly baked scones home with us and they were devine! We had a lovely peaceful, beautiful stay at Aber House just what we needed. Would definitely visit again.
