Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We called into this establishment, whilst waiting to check I'm to another hotel. The language and manners of the staff behind the bar were abhorrent. They were totally ignoring paying customers. To give benefit of the doubt, we popped in again later, only to be served by a miserable older man. All of your staff need a course In customer service..

Very friendly staff, the lady with the glasses (sorry forgot your name) was so lovely, asking if we needed anything else, if everything OK. Fantastic breakfast, very good value. Sidney says thank you for his sausage breakfast. Stayed for 2 nights, lovely big room with a generous tray, comfy beds, thank you very much

The service is terrible people waiting for. Food. And they got it all wrong and it was being tipped all over the floor. Gave people. Cultery. From another table. Which people could have messed with. Then to top It off my husband took. My glass of. Coke back because there was a large hair in side the glass. But all they did was empty the pop in to another glass. Not even change it. Absolutely disgusting will not be returning.

Come here every year after our traditional walk over Barmouth Bridge. Friendly staff. Food very nice and arrived promptly. Recommended. Had cheese and onion panini with chips and nice glass of Pinot Grigio. Dog friendly with water provided for them to drink.

Fabulous accommodation ! Situated at top of the high street close to the beach . Really clean rooms , nice white bedding and fluffy towels . The breakfast is really good - even the dog gets a sausage . We love coming here with a warm welcome where nothing too much trouble . Joy and Dave run a lovely friendly pub !!!

We stayed for 2 nights in this well located, clean room in the centre of Barmouth. Breakfast was very nice on both mornings. The rooms are situated above the pub/restaurant with easy access through the bar. The only problem was the noise. Whilst it didn’t appear excessive in the bar area it was a constant thud of music in our room. If this had stopped at 11pm that would have been ok. But it went on till 12.15. Followed by loud talking until 4am. It wasn’t as bad the second night but it would put us off staying here again.
