We had room 9 which has stunning views. The owners made us feel v welcome. David provided us with an alternative cycling route due to the bad weather forecast and when we arrived back late at the guest house covered in mud his wife was very relaxed and gave us bags to put everything into and then kindly hung our...

I have to say that having stayed in many of the b'n'bs in Barmouth (and most of them perfectly fine) Bryn Melyn stands head and shoulders above the rest, and at a very reasonable price. David and Heather strike the exact right balance between being attentive but unobtrusive - they are so welcoming and there are myriad little things that...

This was our 3rd visit to Barmouth and we chose to saty here based on previous TA reviews. Lovely location high above the estuary, yet walking distance to the town. Excellent hosts, David and Heather couldn't have been friendlier, more knowledgeable about Barmouth and surrounding area. Breakfasts were excellent, room was fine with an exceptional view over the estuary. Breakfast...

We had a lovely one night stay and I would highly recommend. The highlight is definitely the views which are amazing and the owners are also very friendly and helpful. We had both dinner and breakfast and enjoyed both. The only negative I would say (hence why not 5 star) is that the checkout time of 10am is slightly too...

Thank you for your kind review and we are delighted you enjoyed your short stay with us so much. I'm sorry you felt the check-out time of 10am was too early (although this is clearly advertised in advance). The truth is we have no option if we are to have the rooms ready for letting at the time that people...

Having decided to have an autumn break by the coast, we chose Bryn Melyn for the location and view, as the guest house claimed to have excellent views of the estuary. This was indeed true, and for the first half of our break this is exactly what we had. The British weather did it's best to hide the view for...

I met my sister-in-law for an evening in Barmouth on family business. I am a keen researcher and found that this lovely place had a couple of rooms, one for her & her very well-behaved Irish Terrier. I had not carefully read their 'fine print' and thought we'd have dinner there but Thursday night was not on offer; our kind...

Thank you for your review and we are delighted that we were able to make your short stay with your sister-in-law so pleasant. I am aware that some online travel agencies list Bryn Melyn as having a restaurant. As our own web site makes clear this is not the case, but we do offer dinner on certain nights of the...

David and Heather go out of their way to make your visit memorable. Beautiful location with rooms overlooking the estuary and very efficient service. Footpaths lead straight out onto the hills above Barmouth. Well worth a visit.
