I booked Bodelwyddan Castle as a surprise 3 night stay for my wife’s 50th. Overall I was rather disappointed with the food and cleanliness of the establishment with some areas, such as the entertainment area, in need of modernisation. The setting of the Castle is amazing and worth a visit just to experience it for yourself. With some investment this venue could once again be stunning.

Hotel's Favourite
Warners rang us a week before our stay to say that we had been upgraded to a Garden Lodge, so glad they did. the Garden Lodge had absolutely everything for a very pleasant stay. Large lounge, large bedroom (with TV) and a spacious bathroom. Good shower plenty of room with large fluffy towels, Housekeeping spot on and all this overlooking very well maintained gardens, plenty of chairs to sit and admire the views. Breakfast menu had many choices both hot and cold, evening menu again plenty of choices. All the young staff worked hard and always served you with a smile we had nothing to complain about. Didn't try the entertainment too tired after a long day out. An excellent stay and would recommend and thank you everybody for making our stay very enjoyable and the garden lodges are great.

Well what can I say Bodelwyddan Castle is amazing Mum and I stopped in a Garden Suite which was quite away from the main area but we didn’t mind the walk as most of it is covered. GARDEN LODGE SUITE - absolutely beautiful accommodation - large and homely with a fabulous balcony even though it was windy and rainy at times didn’t stop me from sitting on the balcony as it was sheltered so enjoyed a glass of wine overlooking the beautiful grounds. GROUNDS - the Castle grounds are immense with woods and gardens to explore - managed to see Deer in the middle of the day and lots of other wildlife We also manage to get on the Castle Tour which was so informative and Shannon the tour guide is a credit to the hotel - knows here stuff but very entertaining too. FOOD/DRINK The restaurant service and food was first class dinner and breakfast the staff are so hardworking and helpful The bar staff are also so customer focused and helpful Cara Joe Flynn & Trey especially. ENTERTAINMENT Lots of entertainment going on choice of 2 venues at night - FREDDIE MERCURY TRIBUTE was so talented and very enjoyable. NEIL DIAMOND was brilliant I was a bit apprehensive as it’s more my Mums era but I loved every minute. ABBA however we’re terrible one the singers had an awful singing voice in a fake American accent did not stay for the whole set as was disappointed. I cannot wait to stay At Bodelwyddan Castle again it was a brilliant experience even though disaster struck with my car breaking down and we were stuck in the hotel with no transport this didn’t matter as there was so much to do and see.

A great location for a worthwhile break. All the staff were friendly and made our stay enjoyable. The main bar is rather small and noisy, at times, and some guests had trouble understanding having table service. The menu was varied and the quality of food very good. Entertainment is always varied but as they have two different sets on each evening, in different locations, there was something for everyone. Our room was very comfortable and well located being only a short walk from the main building. Lots of grounds to wander around and we would like to return in the summer months to make the most of the outdoor areas. Overall we couldn't think of anything bad to say about this hotel

Some ware and tare around the hotel we had a cracked sink in our bathroom, The thing that made the stay was good food staff that were polite and welcoming who wanted to help you have the best stay. The entertainment was great on the Saturday we saw the James Williams show band excellent...
