I haven't visited this place yet (I'm due to arrive Sep 24) but I'm writing a review for Poppy at Fishguard Bay Resort. I booked through HoSeasons and I was having an absolute nightmare trying to switch my Lodge over. She has been nothing short of AMAZING and nothing was too much for her. After recommending the perfect Lodge, she contacted HoSeasons on my behalf and sorted absolutely everything out. She is an absolute credit to the team and I'm so thankful for everything she did to help me today. Thank you so much again Poppy!!!!

We had a lovely four night stay at lodge 19, the keepers. The lodge was welcoming on arrival, it was warm, well lit and there was a welcome pack. The decor of the lodge is nice, and a perfect base for us. The lodge was also very clean. We ate in every evening due to having a toddler, and the lodge had most things that we needed in the kitchen. There is a lot of space in the lodge with ample storage. The hottub is maintained regularly, and was clean and welcoming. The living room and outside balcony have stunning views overlooking the sea. There isn’t much on site, or in the local areas, but this is what we wanted for a week or rest and relaxation. My only criticism is that the main bed was very uncomfortable, to the point that I couldn’t sleep in it, so had to share the single room with my daughter. This is an easy fix however and would not deter me from returning or recommending to family and friends.

My 4th time at this resort… love how quiet and peaceful it is, right on the coast for long walks with my dogs, the cabin was clean and tidy, nothing out of place.. and the sheltered hot tub/ jacuzzi in the nest cabin was so private and ready for use when I arrived! Thank you for yet another amazing stay! Can’t wait for the next time!

We had such a lovely stay here last week we really did not want to come home … the lodge was so well equipped and spotlessly clean the welcome pack was just a nice little added gesture from Fishguard bay resort, the hot tub was maintained every day and it was lovely and warm to get in to,the staff were so friendly especially Laura at reception and housekeeping they have nicknamed me “ the ferry lady” because I asked housekeeping about the times of the stena ferry going out they asked Laura at reception to let me know it had started it’s engine ready to leave the harbour and Laura went out of her way to phone us to say the ferry had started up and not to shut our curtains and yes I watched Stena go out lol we really cannot wait until next November as we are returning as a family … Thank you Fishguard bay resort for our stay it was absolutely amazing!! 😊

After an exhausting drive from London and nothing but bad luck we really did need a quiet break to recover, on arrival we were greeted by such friendly and helpful staff and allowed early check in due to our car breaking down just as we got there. Not the greatest start to one’s holiday but until the car was fixed (5 days) we really did just relax. A beautiful gift is there for you on arrival, sweets, chocolate and some lovely welsh cakes, this was a very nice gesture. We stayed in Yr Farn and the view is spectacular, it’s a little higher ( than most lodges , or so it felt) and it felt like we were overlooking others during their stay but honestly it certainly didn’t spoil the holiday at all. Beautiful and clean with ample towels and kitchen essentials. The WIFI is amazing considering you’re literally in the middle of nowhere, as we didn’t have our car we did order take outs during our stay and the food locally was really tasty , the pizza van that comes around on a Wednesday and Saturday are very friendly and make really tasty pizzas, just WhatsApp them and preorder so easy. The hot tub was lovely and well looked after during our stay, just a little awkward getting in and out due to it being a sunken hot tub , perhaps not ideal for those with certain disabilities, the lodge has ONE big let down and it is the beds! Oh my goodness I’ve never stayed anywhere where that the mattresses are in dire need of changing, it would have been a five star but honestly due to the beds I honestly couldn’t stay again which is such a shame as everything else is perfect, including the little shop which was so very handy. Also we noted a lot of flies and wasps, I have no idea what was causing this especially as it’s winter, but hopefully this will also be fixed along with the beds.

We are pleased to hear your car was fixed and hopefully you had a safe return journey. We are glad that once you arrived you did have the relaxing holiday that was very much needed. Our Yr Farn lodge boasts one of the best views within our resort and really does have everything that you need to enjoy your stay and the free on park wifi is an added bonus. We are disappointed to read however, that your sleep wasn't the best this has been brought up with our housekeeping team who will be looking at the mattresses within this property. We really hope that you will return in the future.

Had a lovely weekend break here with our 2 adult daughters and our little dog . Stayed in sunset lodge 6. Fantastic views, very clean and comfy. Had to call maintenance out after an hour of arriving as had no hot water or heating. They were out within about 10 mins, turns out the gas bottles had both run out. Came back within 10 mins with a new one. We enjoyed using the hot tub with a view. Reception recommended an easier coastal walk towards Dinas took about an hour. Views were amazing although was very muddy and slippery due to time of year. Lead us to a shingle beach. Reception also recommended The Royal Oak in Fishguard for a nice Sunday roast. Lovely food and friendly service. Would highly recommend!!

Thank you for taking the time for leaving a lovely review. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us in our Sunset lodge, the views really are stunning. We apologise for the no heating or hot water upon your arrival but glad that maintenance sorted it so quickly for you. The coastal walk to Dinas is a lovely walk but as you say can be slightly muddy especially with our recent weather. We really do hope to welcome you back again soon.

My friends and I stayed at Carninglie last weekend. I cannot praise this beautiful place enough. Immaculately clean - beautiful surroundings and just stunning!! You don't need to take anything because it's totally equipped for cooking and cleaning - there's a dishwasher and they supply everything you need!! The hot tub was incredible and squeaky clean!! Maintained daily by lovely friendly staff! There's a coastal walk from the Bay into Fishguard. It's incredible but be warned - it's treacherous and not suitable for people who are disabled or who struggle with steep hills. Overall an incredible experience and we have booked for next year. Absolutely stunning!!
