Great hospitality and a warm welcome on arrival. I had booked a budget room but found I had been kindly upgraded to a lovely spacious and comfortable room with private facilities. Breakfast was very good and all in all a pleasant stay.

Just back from a one night stay after showing dogs at Builth Wells Showground. We were made very welcome and shown to a very large second floor bedroom with en suite. Room bright and clean with a small sofa, 3 single beds, a TV and tea and coffee making facilities Bathroom fittings could do with renewing, ie soap dish in...

Thank you for your kind and helpful comments. We are delighted that our guest house is ideal for dog owners and their dogs of course. Shower & shampoo holders now replaced. Had dropped to lower priority with our large carpark & driveway tarmac resurfacing project over the summer. Hope to see you again soon, Sue

We arrived after a long ride to a lovely newly laid carpark, bits of wood available to put under the stand... The room I had was room 9, it was a massive twin with private bathroom. What was not made clear (to me anyway) is that the bathroom is at the other end of the building, down stairs, up stairs...

Thanks Steve for your nice comments. We have a few more beds to upgrade, having bought 16 in last year or so. Car park was resurfaced this July, at huge cost. Would love to spent more but reality is can't do it any quicker. 2 std rooms are budget rooms with private bathrooms at end of each corridor as my...

Stayed one night last minute late evening booking. Owner and staff were very pleasant and helpful; a friendly family business. Would stay again. They are obviously working hard to gradually improve the place and have just re-laid a brand new ample carpark.

Highland Moors was the perfect base for us whilst my son was competing in the British Cycling Mountain Bike National Series this weekend. Sue allowed us to have an early start breakfast and was so helpful making my son fresh porridge before his race. Comfy beds, a super shower, easy parking and water outside for washing down the bike. An old house that the owners are gradually improving. We had an excellent large room with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and glorious sunsets to boot! We were B&B and the breakfast was excellent, although we would have preferred individual portions of butter and preserves.

Thank you for your helpful comments. We have purchased individual portions of butter, jam, marmalade and yogurts as we do agree with you that others may also like that option. Thank you for your suggestion

I realise that this place has loads of good reviews so I am a sorry to place a contrary one. I had a room with no ensuite, which is a massive fail for me. I hated the old fashioned decor(read old) It smelt like old nappies the day I arrived. The ensuite I had was miles away and had no...

We do make it clear across channels we have 11 ensuites and 2 value twin rooms each with a private bathroom at the end of the corridor (20 yards away) so guests have the option to choose the best price/option. Rooms have been painted over the last few years and some freshened up earlier this year in a period colour....
