Detailed Reviews
We popped in on our way to a funeral in Llanelli for a coffee. The gorgeous little "snug" was so inviting and full of character but it was a beautiful sunny day so we sat outside on the terrace overlooking the river. The lovely waitress asked us if we'd like cake too and we both chose the lemon cake which was delicious as was the coffee. We will definitely be back because if the cake is anything to go by then the food will be out of this world.

Last Saturday afternoon, my party, three meat eaters, a vegetarian and one vegan, booked a table for a special celebration.
We were given a warm welcome and showed to a clean, beautifully laid table by the sunny window.
The menu offered plenty of variety for all dietary requirements. Indeed, as a vegan I felt spoilt for choice with all three courses. All our meals were freshly cooked, beautifully presented, full of taste and served with a genuine smile. Delicious! 👌
Peter is the perfect host and thanks to he and his lovely staff, my Mum felt that she had truly had a special 80th birthday. Diolch o galon.

We stumbled across this hidden gem purely by accident driving home from
Holiday.
Beautifully appointed inside and spotlessly clean.
We sat outside on the balcony overlooking the river with our dog and it was idyllic . We had tea which was served in a lovely service , and my wife and daughter had scones with jam and cream. I had an enormous tea cake .
Everything was super tasty , and staff were attentive and friendly . All the food we saw being served looked really nice . Definitely worth a visit and we will be back again next time we are this way

We have just spent 3 wonderful nights at the Drovers Rest. Peter was the consummate host. He made us feel extremely welcomed. He helped us plan our cycling routes and welcomed us back from our rides by producing tea and cake. The breakfast and evening meal was delicious, local and home made. We will return.

As wonderful as ever. Fantastic food, brilliant accommodation and such charming staff. Sat on the balcony over the river Irfon chatting to owner/chef Peter, such a commitment to service in the Drovers and to the local people.
Will look for the next excuse to come here, alone, with Sandi, or with my local cycling club.

Visited for Sunday lunch while on holiday in local area and was very impressed.
Lovely place with both food and service excellent.
Very good value for money, definitely would highly recommend visiting and hopefully will get the chance to check out again later in the week.

Peter is extremely rude and aggressive, we were publicly accosted by him during our visit. I would never return! Up-tight atmosphere, over priced food and shockingly disorganised service. Avoid! Don’t waste your time or money here.
