Despite arriving late evening we were warmly welcomed by Berni and John. The accommodation was warm and comfortable which after a long day travelling was very welcome. The breakfasts were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. I would certainly recommend this lovely B & B to anyone visiting this area

Berni and John are lovely hosts. Great breakfast made with local produce and homemade bread and vegetarian sausages, which were yummy. Beautiful views of the countryside from our window. Comfy bed, best 2 nights sleep we've had in a long time!

My wife and I choose to stay in B&Bs rather than hotels because they typically provide a more personal experience. We've been unfortunate to stay in a few where this was not always the case. Cerdyn Villa B&B is not one of those - Berni and John, owners of Cerdyn Villa, are the epitome of hospitality. They're real people who genuinely care about their guests and it shows in everything they do.

When we arrived, after 16 hours in the air and another 4 hour drive from London, Berni and John provided us with liquid refreshments in their garden. They sat and chatted with us as if we had been friends for ages.

We were booked into one of their two B&B rooms. However, since we were to be there for a full week, they put us up in their annex. It was not booked for any other guests for the time we'd be there and they felt we'd be more comfortable with more space given the length of our stay. The annex is a separate building with bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living room. Each day we had comfortable sofas on which to sit and unwind. At night we had the sweet smell of their jasmine vines wafting in through the window of the bedroom. The double bed struck a perfect balance between firm and cushy. The shower was strong and water hot.

Each day started with a wonderful breakfast made from fresh local ingredients. It consisted of eggs from their own free range hens, sausages and uber-thick rashers from a local butcher and bread Berni and John lovingly made from scratch each day. My wife isn't a big breakfast eater so opted to have something other than the full Welsh offering. Everything we ate was deee-licious! Be sure to ask for Berni's home made vegetarian sausages - YUMMY!

Breakfast each day was accompanied by the best conversations with Berni and John. They're the warmest and funniest people you could wish to meet when traveling. We could honestly sit and talk to them for hours on end. They're extremely knowledgeable about the area and were able to give us some great ideas for things we hadn't thought about seeing when we got there.

If you're looking for a place where you can be ignored and treated like a booking on a piece of paper, look someplace other than Cerdyn Villa B&B. If you're looking for a home away from home in which you can feel like family and get a good meal, comfy bed and a revitalized spirit, call Berni and John, book your room and don't look back.

What can we say to a review like that...? We also enjoyed your company and felt as if we'd known you for years! So pleased we were able to add a few extra places to visit to your already crowded schedule - keep in touch and hope to see you again. John and Berni.

Bernie and John were the most welcoming hosts possible. The room was spotless and the bed is really comfortable. The location was perfect for us as we were touring the area with a view to moving there and Bernie couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfasts were all locally sourced and of 5* standard and we even had home made bread. The walk into town was only 10 minutes and a really peaceful walk, which meant we could go out and eat every night without having to drive. We will be back as soon as possible and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cerdyn Villa.

Berni and John make you feel very welcome in their home. They catered for my gluten free diet and provided gluten free bread. There is a lovely choice for breakfast including fresh eggs from their hens. The B&B is set in beautiful countryside. They are very approachable and can recommend good places to eat and places to visit. We will return.

Berni and John really make you feel welcome in their home! The guest house is a short stroll into the village with places to eat and a brewery (what more could you ask for!) We enjoyed the peace and quiet, hen's wandering around the garden and the most amazing 5* breakfast, with homemade bread and local produce. If you want a home from home; in the countryside with great tips from your hosts each morning on where to eat, buy local cheese or spend your afternoons then this is a special place that we intend to visit again in August.

The owners, John and Bernice, have worked hard to make this Victorian house into a place of style and comfort. They wanted to make sure everything was just right and helped us to find the best places to visit during our stay. The delightful guest rooms are newly refurbished and have modern en-suite WC/shower-rooms. Breakfasts are huge and set you up well for a full day's sighseeing in the beautiful countryside that starts right at the door of Cerdyn Villa. The house has a big garden and 3 friendly chickens (called Tikka, Goujon and Nugget) who provide the eggs for breakfast. There are also guinea pigs, and many pretty wild birds that feed from outside the breakfast room window. Cerdyn Villa is in a great location as it is quiet but only a short stroll into the village centre where there are a selection of good pubs. We certainly will be returning soon.
