Enjoyed a very relaxing couple of days at this hotel. The weather was terrible but we were quite happy to sit beside a log fire with a game of Scrabble and the dog beside us. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which set the tone for the other guests also being friendly. Room was comfortable. Lovely gardens. Lovely... More

Just back from a relaxing break with 3 friends for a 7 course meal and overnight stay. Caer Beris Manor is a gorgeous old manor house, full of original features and lots of lovely dark wood. There are extensive, well kept grounds and some great walks. I arrived first and was greeted by the friendly reception staff to find that... More

We stayed for two nights B&B and with a 7 course tasting menu. The people who work at the hotel are lovely and can not do too much for you. We loved the area, very peaceful, and had a walk around the grounds in the autumn sunshine.

Hotel is in a lovely setting well away from the town so is very peaceful. The building is full of character with creaky floorboards etc. Room was very comfortable and slept well. Staff are friendly and very professional and couldn't be faulted. The food is delicious, well presented and you are not kept waiting. Also I must give a special mention... More

Stayed here for a conference. Luke, was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and he was really knowledgeable about the menu. The room I was in was lovely, really comfy with a real Victorian feel. The bathroom had a great mix of style and functionality with a powerful shower and big fluffy towels. The food was really tasty. There were... More

Warm welcome; comforting, heritage ambience; stunning cuisine and service at dinner; quietly cheerful breakfast; - but nobody could have orchestrated for that kingfisher to dart across the river when it did...! Strolling in the grounds after dinner and before breakfast could not have been more enchanting. The calm, green environment of the extensive grounds provided an element which we, tired... More

Three of our favourite couples from Sussex joined us fo Sunday lunch. It was a delightful day in all ways, food, hospitality and location. To a "man" we were all impressed by the quality and presentaion of the food. Given how used they were to paying high prices, our friends were bowled over by how "cost effect" it was for... More

Caer Beris is a delightful hotel steeped in interesting history. It perches on a hill in a bend in the river and is surrounded by lovely grounds. The food is very good. Try the 7-course 'taster' menu, or the 5-course dinner. These have lots of interesting and delicious tastes and textures but are not too filling. The rooms are very... More
