Had a delightful afternoon tea at Gliffaes Hotel. Vegan afternoon tea and catered for my cream allergy. Lovely sandwiches, and plenty of them; a choice of teas, coffee or soft drinks. Then scone with jam and lovely cakes. Roaring fires, relaxed atmosphere, helpful, welcoming staff, just lovely.

A haven away from the trials and tribulations of 2020. Thank you so much to everybody who looked after us . We look forward to visiting again in the Spring. We visited Brecon and Crickhowell and were warmly received despite the restrictive conditions. Here's hoping 2021 will be kinder to all of us.

This agreeable hotel holds fast to a traditional country house hotel model with comfortable lounges, conservatory with a view and log fires. Televisions are equally traditional. Reading is encouraged. The breakfast menu is excellent but the very restricted dinner menu, relatively unchanging each night, is disappointing, though the quality of cooking is good. The drinks selection is wide, fairly priced and plenty of wines by the glass. The grounds are wonderful with specimen trees supplemented by different owners over the years. The present owners proudly continue this legacy. We hope that the hotel survives another lockdown and commend the staff who made our recent stay enjoyable.

Having been brought up in the area Gliffaes is something of an 'old friend'. When my wife and I are visiting the Brecon Beacons Gliffaes has always been the hotel of choice and we are never disappointed. Our room was comfortable and very well appointed. Breakfasts and dinners were of a very high standard.........in short we were fed and watered well! As always the staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. Highly recommended .

Gliffaes is a lovely hotel in a stunning location over looking the river and hills beyond. Spotlessly clean with all safe Covid procedures in place without effecting the stay. Staff are friendly, kind and helpful. We stayed in Room 6 with fantastic views over both the river and gardens, very comfortable with huge bath. Dinner, breakfast and even packed lunch all delicious, beautifully presented and clearly cooked with care. Thank you for a lovely relaxing stay.
