This is a truly lovely place to stay. It has all the charm of an historic inn, and all the amenities of a tasteful, modern hotel. The owners have clearly put every effort into ensuring their guests' comfort and pleasure. The rooms and public spaces are tastefully decorated and lit, and there is a welcoming feel to the bar and...

Amazing. We went for greenman and it was so relaxing. We had lunch and would recommend eating in rather than going out. From the hospitality, to the room and the breakfast was lovely. Will definitely go back, not just for greenman. ❤️

First time at the Dragon Inn, Crickhowell on a grey November day. We didn't stay here but the friendly service and enjoyable lunch certainly brightened up our day. Interesting, original food was beautifully presented and decent value: macaroni and haddock "crumble" - topped with laver bread - was lovely, as was the Welsh lamb cawl, more a stew than a...

I went for a meal in the Dragon on Sunday night and can honestly say that it was exceptional. . The presentation was first class and the quality of the meal was outstanding. The staff were very friendly and attentive and worked really hard to add to the experience. Whilst not full, on the wet, cold, Sunday evening, the warm...

First time visitors to The Dragon and booked afternoon tea in advance. A warm welcome and cosy informal surroundings. Afternoon tea was delicious and good choice of sandwiches available. All cakes home made and scones were still warm. Service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and priced at only £24.00 for two people which included tea or coffee it...

We didn't stop at the Dragon Inn, as we had rented a beautiful cottage locally, but after walking around Crickhowell we decided to book a meal for that evening. On booking the girl behind the bar had said she would reserve us a nice table for that evening. On our return later we were not disappointed we had a lovely...

We have had Sunday diner here a couple of times recently. While the service has been a little bit slow due to the number of people in, we have always found that it is service with a smile. The food is very tasty and fresh. There is always a nice atmosphere in the dining room. The beer garden is very...

We have previously stayed at the Bear, but on enquiringly found it very expensive (£129 per night to include our little dog) The Dragon charged £99. We were delighted with our room and enjoyed some of the best food we have had anywhere in recent holidays. We will definitely be returning, and would strongly recommend this hotel as a base...

What a treat to arrive here! Beautiful, warm spacious room... enormous bed and proper single beds for the children. Everything was spotless and luxurious. Great meal in the evening, smashing food and we had a lovely time. Breakfast the next morning was super; we all tried something different and my husband really loved his Welsh breakfast. We will return again...
