My husband, daughter and I spent 3 glorious autumn days at Dunroamin' Retreat. The cabin was well stocked and the wood burning stove kept us warm and cozy. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the grounds and spent time reading and relaxing in the greenhouse (now I know what it is like to be a cat sitting in a patch of sunlight!).... More

We were at Dunroamin for a week in Spring with the ice and fresh sprinklings of snow on the Lake. Cross country skiing, a fire in the stove and lots of relaxing. Carcross is only a short drive. Our hosts Rob and Suzanne, were great. They put the sauna on request and cleared pathways when it snowed and there was... More

We had the privilege of spending a week at Dunroamin’ Retreat. The hospitality of our hosts, Rob and Suzanne, added so much to the experience of living in a beautifully hand-crafted log cabin, fishing and kayaking in a pristine lake, and enjoying the taste of organic herbs picked fresh from their greenhouse. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the property... More

The Dunroamin retreat is peaceful, beautiful, and wondrous! Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young children) stayed for 2 nights this past February and there was no end of things to discover: a beautiful hand-built cabin surrounded by wild bird song (including Great Horned Owls!), southern exposure, ski trails, and enough curiosities (such as books, a treehouse, and... It's a great place to go spend couples days to go relax and get out of town. We loved spending time in the cabin playing with our 16 month old daughter. The cabin is really cozy and really clean. Even the outhouse is cool. Nice spot to go walk or ski on the lake too. I really recommend this place.

A great stay in a log cabin on the lake complete with wood stove and authentic Yukon outhouse. So many extra touches including the fire going for our arrival, custom made treats, gourmet cooking, fresh warm muffins every day, and the wood fired sauna. Cabin has everything needed for a relaxing stay. Hope that we can return soon!

The first time I came to Dunroamin was in the fall of 2010. It is situated about a 10 minute drive from Carcross (where many summer tour buses pass through from Skagway, Alaska). Typically, I stay here for a whole week to relax and recuperate from the "city life" down south. This lakeside cabin is about a 1 hour drive... More

We were lucky enough to book the Dunroamin' cabin for the Christmas weekend. We arrived in -30 weather to a warm cozy cabin with an excellent kitchen set-up, a comfortable bed, and great library! The location was ideal for our active group: cross country skiing, snowshoeing and ice-skating right from the door and only an hour drive from amazing backcountry... More

Our little family (2 adults, a 4-year-old and a 1-year-old) had a fantastic time at the Dunroamin', and as we live in Whitehorse, we definitely wish to return as often as possible! The positive reviews on here are accurate, and we recommend it highly. Gorgeous spot, beautiful cabin, great breakfasts, friendly-but-unobtrusive hosts - we loved it!

Suzanne and Rob are gems of people. Quietly friendly, very helpful, loving to help you have the time away you want. They are deep slow travelers who have rooted themselves in this beauty spot and created a magical place. The house/cabin is a gorgeous building. Beautiful wood throughout with too many special flourishes creative and useful! touches in list here.... More
