Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Okay not all the rooms have air con so please check if this is important to you but the room was a good size, clean with a modern bathroom,. It might not have all the facilities of a major, larger hotel but what it lacks it makes up for in service. The hotel is family run. They serve a very nice continental breakfast on the veranda along with cooked eggs on request. They transfer you from/to the airport which is about a 15 min walk (it's a small island !). Where they win hands down is in the tours that they provide. It surpasses all the predetermined tours, being totally bespoke to take into the mix and wishes of the residents.

This place is a gem! Alejandro and his family run this centrally located hotel. The beds and rooms are very comfortable with nice spots to hangout outside. The ocean and swimming areas are a short walk down the road. Restaurants all up and down the street. Alejandro is one of the best guides I’ve had. His enthusiasm is contagious as he is an expert on all things Rapa Nui. I felt extremely lucky to have gotten to stay here. Hope to do it again someday. Highly recommended!!!!

Long story short, 1. 5 minutes drive to hotel from airport, driver Alejandro let us waited for next guest by pick up van for 50 minutes after arrival. He told me” it is free of charge, you can walk to hotel” then he spoke only to one guest in the car in Spanish. 2 Due to unexpected flight delay, purposely delayed pick up and check in process by hotel, hotel left us no choice but pay private tour price for group tour from this hotel only. 3 due to tour arrangements, last morning we have nothing to do before 3 pm, but I am not allowed to enjoy my breakfast because their staff came to me to tell me” what you want!? you ate too much, other guests coming, they needs your table” 4 “ hotel help for tour “only means you have to hire their own guy with disrespect non professional bully manner, Alejandro. 5 tour is arranged according to this guy’s own needs, for example, he need break between 1200-1530, he needs to drive another new tour group, so he asked guest to drive us to tour with his Suzuki without even ask our consent. He goes or does what he wants, we have to wait for him chatting with local for about 20 minutes after tour standing in the wind and cold. 5 We have to walk at least 15-30minutes twice a day from this hotel to sea site to enjoy restaurants and views, better stay by the shore. Hotel is not bad itself except all people in Group tour all shocked by roaches and or beetles, absoluted not join their tour if you do not want to ruin your vacation like ours.

It’s a small family-owned lodge, not a hotel. The owners were really friendly (they speak only Spanish so you can practice it)! The offered breakfast is not from the hotel, they give you vouchers to a nearby cafe. The card terminal is GetNet. Test on mainland that your cards works there (my didn’t) or prepare cash!

What a lovely stay! Thanks to Yvonne, Alejandro and the team this hotel felt like home immediately. The location is great, the room fulfils all your needs and breakfast is basic, but has one of the best scrambled eggs I have ever tasted. After asking for salt and pepper the first morning they were placed right there from then onwards. This shows they listen and want to make you feel welcome. Yvonne also helped me a lot with doing some laundry for me. The Wifi works great most of the time and the location is perfect to explore Hanga Roa. Oh, and the free airport transport is the icing on the cake :)

Like so many people who are visiting Rapanui for the first time we hadn’t much idea of what to expect. However, we had a wonderful time with Alvaro (or Alvarito as some locals call him) as he showed us around the island and came out with his interesting stories. So much to take in and such wonderful sights. We were greeted by Ivonne at the airport with beautiful leis and transported back to the hotel. There are many (friendly) dogs roaming around in the town and the vehicles have a variety of dents! Take care crossing the road. The accommodation is not the Negresco but did not disappoint and stories of weak WiFi were not apparent. Breakfast included…a great experience. Across the street is the (yellow) booking office for Kari Kari (cultural ballet). Do it. Highly recommended night out. Thanks again to all at Inaki Uhi.

I loved my stay at the Inaki Uhi. Yvonne the host was so nice and welcoming. The room was nice, renovated and clean. The hotel is on the main street, restaurant available close by and a pub across the street. Good breakfast from friendly ladies next door. The airport is just a few minutes from the hotel. Wifi is available working from the lobby or in the courtyard.

Yvonne, one of the owners of the hotel is an angel. From the pick-up at the airport, through the efficient check-in, from friendly advice and help getting settled, Yvonne was all smile and good humour. The rooms are located around a central courtyard with flowers and trees. The rooms are big, spotlessly clean and VERY comfortable (and decorated with good taste !). Breakfast is in the nearby coffee shop on the premises. You can choose from 4 set menues and it's really enough to start your day exploring the island. If later on the day you get a bite to eat, as a guest you get a discount. And even though the hotel is right on main street, my room was very quiet. I'm a light sleeper but I never heard a sound from the nearby activity later in the evening. For me, this is the PERFECT place to stay - and at a very reasonable price too !

I booked my 3-night stay based on reviews and had no regrets whatsoever. Ivonne was warm and welcoming and I was able to check in early which was very much appreciated. My room was recently remodeled and was clean, simple and attractive. There was adequate shelving/drawers and closet space. The bed and linens were comfy and I slept great with the ceiling fan on. Shower had good pressure and WiFi worked fairly well most of the time. The vibe here is consistent with the island’s and I felt very comfortable staying here. I was able to walk everywhere for restaurants, pharmacy, coffee, shopping and grocery markets. It was a 10-minute walk to the cemetery and to the only walkable moai site. Make sure you tell them which flight you’re on so they can pick you up (and drop off at airport). I forgot to do this but easily found a taxi to take me for 6000 pesos. The hotel is about 3.5 miles from the airport. For the price I paid, I feel that I got a very good value.

On the good side: - very friendly host Ivonne, with a very warm welcome for us at the airport - great location in Hanga Roa near the shops and restaraunts - breakfast *includes cake :) On the less good side: - rooms are basic, but very clean and had everything we needed - wifi is weak in the room and electricity seemed to cut off a few times - but welcome to the most amazing island that happens to be middle of the Pacific Ocean I suppose!
