...for my wife :) The kids and I we loved the place. First night we had the hyenas stealing or braai meat. It was not possible to chase them away; so eventually we gave up and retired for the night. The second day we had baboons rioting our tent and literally open up everything they could find. Luckily they did...

We spent one night at Khwai in Moremi. The campsites are spacious and shaded. However, be aware of the monkeys. The vervets are brutal and will steal everything edible when given a chance. At night the hyenas are the thieves of the camp. We got one visit our campfire, almost stealing our BBQ raster. The ablutions are good considered they...

We spent 2 nights at Kwai northgate campsite and had the most wonderful game drives. We were there on a Saturday night and the very loud thumping music from the village opposite kept us up from 2am. By 8am on Sunday morning when we left the music was thumping just as loudly. It was not the wildlife experience we were...

We spent two nights at MK1 and really enjoyed it. The road from Savuti to 4th Bridge Northgate is long, dusty, tiring and towards the end, over a pothole-strewn gravel road, annoying. Fortunately, boredom gives way to wonder and amazement once you reach the small village of Khwai with the fabulous Khwai Shopping Center :-) :-). Cross the new Fourth...

Spent 2 nights here and loved every minute. It can get a little dusty! but that's part and parcel of traveling in Africa. Wash facilities and toilets were clean and in order. The location of this camp does mean that you will almost certainly get a visit from local wildlife, whether it be small vervet monkeys or large Elephants so...

Not sure how bad the baboon problem is here. The camp manager said we should put down our tents when leaving camp to be on the safe side. As you can imagine this was greeted with groans of misery from the group. We decided to 'hire' someone to watch the camp in our absence. Cost of Pula 60 or so...

Always a good campsite. Be careful of the hyena at night. They will take anything left lying around (shoes, cooler boxes, etc). Do not take the wild for granted at all. Excellent ablutions with solar power. Water gets warm as the sun shines for longer. Very helpful office staff

Going to Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana is always a special experience but since the camp sites have been privatised, the cost has sykrocketed for overseas visitors but the services have not improved. There was no water in the morning because the water pump powered by solar panels does not work in overcast conditions. The only place we had to...

Pleasant camp sites although a little dusty - but that's Africa! The sites closest to the river are the best (2, 3, 7 etc although 1 is closest to the new ablution block which is very nice clean with hot & cold showers. Make sure that you are aware of the demarcation of your camp site. We had pitched our...
