Great! Absolutely great! We have travelled a lot and seen a lot, and Tubu Tree was a superb place. Everything and every game drive well organized. Staff and guides friendly and knowledgeable. During our first night, we had an elephant browsing, and later sleeping – not unlike a dog too big to let inside – right under our balcony!

Dear Ursula878, Thank you for your fabulous review, we hope that the elephant was at least a quiet sleeper and there was no snoring to disturb your much needed sleep after a full day of activities. The elephants can, at times, cause some disturbance in camp. But then again it is thanks to them that our rooms and main areas...

We stayed 3 nights at this camp, our first stop on our Botswana safari. We were very impressed with everything about the camp. The room was spacious, comfortable and lovely, with great views out over the Delta. The communal areas were great too, really nice bar built into the tree, good dining and lounge spaces, in general a luxurious, comfortable,...

We spent four nights here and as I wrote on another report, I love adding on the fourth night. My husband celebrated his birthday and what a dinner it was..private dinner by the pool with candelabras along with very...

The moment we arrived we were warmly greeted by the entire staff. I immediately felt as if I were a guest at their home rather than a guest at a hotel. The camp is blended into trees so you feel as if it is part of the environment. Elevated walkways, rooms with indoor and outdoor showers, balcony for animal viewing...

We spent four nights at Tubu Tree Camp in March 2015. It was a delightful stay complete with several exciting moments. We loved the facilities, from the raised walkways to the private and large cabanas to the comfortable lounge with the "loo with a view" to the very attractive open bar under the medulla trees. Water levels were low, so...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Remote leopard viewing enclave on the western floodplains of the Okavango.Tubu Tree lies on the remote Hunda Island, the largest area of permanently dry land in this region of the Okavango Delta. As its name implies, it lies in the dappled shade of large trees, its raised dining and lounge, pool and open bar areas almost within the canopy of a marula tree and looking out over a grassy floodplain. The whole camp is connected by raised wooden boardwalks so that one can literally wander amongst the leaves.HighlightsTubu Tree’s location and easy access to both water and dry-land habitats, ranging from dry Kalahari sandveld to mopane and riverine forest edging on permanent waterways, ensures varied and spectacular game viewing. There are good concentrations of zebra and wildebeest on the floodplains as well as elephant, red lechwe, tsessebe and giraffe. Leopard and spotted hyaena viewing is particularly good. 8 Tents (including 1 Family Tent): Raised on wooden platforms, en-suite bathrooms; outdoor shower; private front deckExperiences: Day and night game drivesBoating and mokoro excursions (seasonal) Catch-and-release fishing (seasonal) Seasonal hide for sleep-outs or game viewing ... more   less
