We visited this location as part of our trip to Madagascar. We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed the location, the staff, our guide and the variety of wildlife at this location. I highly recommend this as part of a wildlife trip to Madagascar. There are miniature frogs to be found on the island which measure about 4 to...

We may be one of the first to review this new part of Palmarium, called Palmarium Beach. Just a short 5 minute boat ride to the reserve and its complex. These are new lovely bungalows close to the beach and water, very luxurious and private. Only 7 of these in the complex so quite small and intimate. Bathroom great with...

As my title says you either like this or you don't. The lemurs are indeed tame and come to you, they still live in the wild but not like in the reserve. I liked it and loved it. We stayed here for 2 nights, did a trip around the island alone and with a guide, saw all the lemurs (dancing...

Having breakfast with the lemurs is PURE GREATNESS!!! It was so much fun... Lemurs will jump on your shoulders, and you get to feed them and take pictures. It is a really great experience. They have bungalows to sleep in which are cozy and confortable. There is also the possibility of doing a night walk and a day walk to...

In a private park on an peninsula sout of Tamatave you find Palmarium. A park with many species of lemurs, that are used to humans and friendly to the point of invading your room if you are not carefull. That is a lot of fun. A night trip to see the Aye Aye was magical. Expensive. However the bungalows are...

The main attraction of this lodge is the lemurs. The highlight for us was seeing the Indri, including a baby, and the trip to see the Aye Aye. In our bungalow the water and electricity supplies were variable so take a torch. The staff were all very helpful and the main bar & restaurant area works well with plenty of...

This hotel is difficult to access, 6 hour drive from the capital followed by an hour on a boat but worth the effort if you wish to see the Aye Aye lemur. The hotel is rustic and you will experience limited electric supply and no hot water, so bear this in mind when booking. We loved it as the setting...

We spent a few nights here on our honeymoon tour of eastern Madagascar. What a wonderful place! Peaceful, abundance of wildlife, beautiful freshwater beaches, lovely food, great tours, fantastic hosts... Would go back in a flash! The boat trip to get there was unexpected but a lovely treat.

We had a bumpy 3 hour boat ride to the hotel, but once there, we had a great time. The bungalows are spacious, the beds OK.The weather was cool, so we did not miss AC or fans. The food was good and the cocktails they served were great. They made me a special birthday cake and played songs from all...

While on a short-term medical project in eastern Madagascar, I had the opportunity to travel by small river boat to this location for the purpose of seeing lemurs. It's rustic (un air-conditioned, open-air small rooms with mosquito netting on the beds), but the food was very good (and safe!!) and lemurs were everywhere. Our group knew what to expect and...
