Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After a full day and starlight+sunrise tour, we had to wait for the night bus to La Paz to depart at 8pm so we booked a room at Hotel Julia for resting after checking out at a more expensive hotel. The room was basic with a shared bathroom but the location was great, right next to all the tour agents, restaurants, laundry and souvenir shops. The receptionist was kind to let us have the room half an hour before the official check-in time at 1pm. The wifi works fine.

l was staying in another hotel in this town but changed to Hotel Julia after inspecting the street front room. It is situated right in the center of town opposite the railway station. The best room is room 25, however our room no. 24 on the second floor was good with a view over the street, T.V in the room, a hot shower, and although the rooms were a bit small and dated it was still far better and cheaper than the hotel l was staying in. Breakfast is very poor, so just go next door for a good breakfast. At this stage, although this hotel is NOT fantastic but its the best you will find in this frontier township, however there is a lot of building going on so l would expect new hotels to open up in 2017 -2018.

Booked this hotel twice (before and after the salt flats tour). Both times I was given a large room. Hotel provides the basic, towels, soap and toilet paper. I didn't need anything more. You can only pay with cash!! Convenient location as it's in front of the train station and pick up point for salt flats tours. Around the corner there are lots of tiny stores. 10min away from the airport. Laundry is 1min away (one of the websites mention this hotel does laundry...this isn't true!) If you are looking for a cheap and clean place, I would recommend this hotel.

This is a lovely hotel. It's in a great location, close to tour agency's and loads of restaurants. It has heating that comes on at 8pm and it also includes breakfast. It has wifi that's good but can be a little hit and miss. Great for the one night before the salt flats.

The hotel is in the main square of Uyuni. The facilities are for a traveller. Not luxurious but good and comfortable. Comfortable bed with hot showers. Rooms are heated and restaurants are just within 5 minutes walking distance. All tours start from here too.

Very good location which nears many travel agencies, restaurants and plaza. Clean room with basic breakfast, nice and helpful staffs. Wifi access is not very stable, the other thing I would complain about the hot water, the pressure is weak and not supplied after 9pm because they use solar energy. It is not very convenience for the travels who come back from sunset tour.

Location: Right across the street of Train Station on the main road. Tourist office, restaurants just on both side of the hotel. and you can find some nice restaurants at the same block. Room: you are not in Uyuni for the rooms, don't expect too much from Uyuni Hotels. Wifi is a pain in the hotel, but nearby restaurants have very fast connections. Service: Staff barely speaks english just like everyone in Uyuni, but you will survive.

We stayed there 2 days in a room with a private bathroom. Room looks clean but smell of toilet was really terrible. We could smell even we closed the door of toilet. When we arrived there, it was late and it was'n so bad (for the first time) but it was getting more serious. So next day we asked to change a room or clean the room. but the woman in the reception said neither one is possible. Because workers worked only in the morning and that day hotel was fully booked. Don't stay in the room with private bathroom. Otherwise, location is really good it's closed to tour offices and breakfast was good too.

Family room was good size (5 single beds) and had a private bathroom (other rooms on our floor shared a bathroom hostel-style). Staff were really helpful and nice. Wifi is pretty weak and you need to be near the atrium to access. Good place for a night after 3 days on the road and interesting mix of guests.

We were going to stay at another hostel, but it didn't work, so went into this hotel. We stayed in a triple room which has clean and warm beds. Bathroom was fine as well. Internet didn't not function well (which is normal in uyuni) in the room, but it was fine in the lobby. We enjoyed the breakfast- hot chocolate was delicious! Bread, jam, coffee, hot chocolate, cereals, juice were served. Any hotels are expensive in Uyuni for ok quality. (Obviously because it's in the middle of nowhere and the town is not developed much...) Considering the reality, we think that it was a pleasant stay and we would use this hotel again next time.
