Tea Hotel Kericho had gone through a rough patch some time back. I was worried that I may experience a nasty stay there, but to my great surprise, the place is undergoing excellent make over and the lawns are neat. the rooms have new linen and i noticed they did an upgrade on their branding. I booked my stay through...

We camped here as a group but we used some rooms for showers and toilets as the ones for the campsite were really bad. The rooms are less than luxurious to say the least and I would have put this as two stars if it had not been for the bar and terrace which were very nice. You can see...

We camped in the grounds of the hotel and enjoyed the ambience and view of the surrounding tea plantations. We were given access to a room for showering and it was as if nothing much had been done since the 70's. The hotel itself is tired and well in need of a renovation to take it back to its heyday!

We simply loved the Tea Hotel in Kericho. This charmingly aged hotel is certainly one of a kind. The huge garden and the whole estate are beautiful with a view over some tea plantations in front. The staff was extremly friendly. The cottages are very cheap for what they are and include a great breakfast. The pool and garden are...

Negatives: We took a run down room in the block that is separate from the hotel and got a soft lumpy bed, dodgy bed clothes and a trickle of a shower with dodgy wiring. Positives: This is still a great location. The dining and terrace and gardens are as they were in their 50s heyday. It was a joy to...

Stayed here for one night.....the first time in 25 years. We stayed in one of the cottages which was very comfortable and peaceful with good views of the gardens. We had a very good and reasonably priced meal, and the staff were very accommodating. It is true that the hotel is a bit "tired", but look past that and you...

I wanted some quiet time while I worked on a project. Kericho Tea Hotel was an excellent choice. The facilities are rather run down but that sort of gives the place character. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was a set menu but one could also order snacks. Needs some renovation in places. Excellent garden and views...

This is a good place. I stayed at the cottages and I really enjoyed the serene environment. Waking up in the morning offered me a lush tea plantation overlooking my room that looked so beautiful with the rising sun. Reception was so good. I had booked previously on phone. But when I got there, surveyed the rooms, I changed my...

We arrived at the Tea Hotel looking for camping. We didn't expect to stumble across a hidden gem. What a great place. The place is beat, BUT it has the type of kitch atmosphere that made it more than just a place to sleep but rather an experience. The restaurant is good and cheap and the tea fields starting in...
