Not a luxurious lodge. Very small rooms but good enough for a technical night when visiting the Volcanoes National Park and it gorillas. Hot water in the shower. The food in the restaurant is really good but be prepared for a long wait. Even after 30 minutes after ordering, they can come and tell you that your dish is not...

My husband and I Stayed here for two nights while Gorilla Trekking. Our room was a bit tired and worn, but still quite comfortable and liveable. The place has a nice little restaurant and bar and friendly staff. It's the place where Dianne Fossey stayed when she came down from studying the gorillas in the mountains.

This was a good place for a sleep. Hot water, wife and good rooms. They also had a nice restaurant with patio to chill. They have lunch deals for 3 course meal (6000) and menu for dinner time. Food was good and it was nice to chill outside with a cold pint.

menu was larger then other area places yet not much that attracted me... we ate a couple times for lite lunch/snack fares or a cold coke. also tried African tea there. That was an interesting venture and worth stopping by for. Staff was friendly yet not always around when we needed.

We visited at the end of June and had a nice big room with lots of natural light, a terrace area and a hot shower! There is even a small garden area with some chairs so it makes for a great place to relax with a book. The restaurant was great with tasty curries and the staff were very friendly!...

Room was reasonably large but needs renovation. The shower had hot water and the toilet flushed. The mosquito net was too small, dirty, and had holes. The TV looked like an antique. I found a millipede in the bed when about to sleep. It startled me and I quietly disposed of it so that my wife would not be too...

We stayed here because of its history with Dian Fossey. It's a bit of time warp and clearly popular with the locals and tourists. Clean with good service and helpful staff. The restaurant is good, though too much sauce in general, and I'm guessing limited availability of good supplies. All in all no complaints but somehow missing a really special...

Stayed here as part of a tour we booked with a gorilla trek company. Overall, the grounds and rooms are clean with plenty of plugs to charge electronics. Food in the restaurant is decent and the bar seems to be fairly well stocked. Area apparently is safe as well from what we're told, but there's really nothing worth visiting in...

The hotel Muhabura is a good three start hotel that offers all the required necessities to overnight prior and after your Gorilla trek. For budget conscious travellers Muhabura not only offers just what is needed, it also has the historical charm of having been Dianne Fossey’s watering hole and crashing den when she was not up in the hills spending...

My family and I stayed two times at Hotel Muhabura during our 6 months in Rwanda. The historic hotel really stands out as you drive out of Musanze toward Rubavu, as many of the other hotels are behind high walls and hedges. It's restaurant is one of the best known hotel restaurants, again in part because the patio is visible...
