Service great here but the buffet food only so so. Nice location and friendly people. Try the avocado and tomatoes, really delicious as is the fruit. In need of an update but ok for a transit night. Reasonably priced.

Dated but clean property. Staff were the highlight. They cleaned our hiking shoes, and laundry services were well done and timely. They also allowed us to shower and use a room briefly (after we had checked out of our room) as we had to travel back to Kigali immediately after our gorilla trek.

I stayed at the La Palme Hotel for one night as part of a trip to Uganda and Rwanda. The hotel is quite basic, built in the sixties or seventies and looking very much old fashioned. Rooms are of decent size, with a good bathroom, but without any toiletries but soap. Rooms and bathrooms - with the exception of bed-maths...

The hotel is fairly central in the town and not in the location of most of the the other tourist accommodation which is in the countryside a bit more. Personally I would have preferred a more rural hotel, but I was informed that many were not in great condition. The hotel was functional, really good salads.

Is a very average hotel. Looks old, used, without seeing investment since long time. Breakfast is just below average. Food also. Yes is true is not Kigali, is located in Rwanda's countryside. Yes is true. But with a little care could be much better. Is just one hotel. Do not expect to much and you would not be disappointed.

clean and serviceable hotel in town that caters to people getting up early to do a gorilla tour. Breakfast ready at 6am, then you are picked up for the national parl. Lunches are large and good tasting, but not gourmet.

Basic hotel not too far from briefing area and start point for hiking to see gorillas. No AC or heating with buffet style meals served during day and a la carte menu if do not arrive during meal hours. Generally, rooms and reception are dark with predictable intermittent electrical outages daily. Unfortunately, the wifi is often not working and extremely...
