TorchBearer offers a unique experience with a collaboration between western and traditional Tanzanian culture. I had the amazing privilege to stay at TorchBearer for 4 weeks where the accommodations were more than spacious, comfortable, and had high-quality amenities (western toilets and hot showers). Wifi, cleaning and laundry services are available. Generous portion sizes and a variety of choices from burgers...

Kilimanjaro; and you're on the property of a children's village (orphanage) where you can meet and spend time with children who are happy to meet new people! Our room at Torchbearer was clean, comfortable, and full of light. The grounds are beautiful. The staff is incredibly helpful and attentive. The kitchen has a procedure where you send in your order in the morning, and then your food is ready for you at your determined time. This makes the restaurant much faster and more efficient than most restaurants...
