Given that the lodge is on the crater rim, the price is steeper than the crater walls ($1200 per night for 2 persons). But given that the prices are advertised, we got what we booked, at least as far as prices are concerned. What we did not get were any views of the crater raising the question what the increased...

The area was a little dusty but the big cat action was incredible. The camp host Gregory was very friendly and fun to talk to. Drinks around the "bush tv" was entertaining every night we were there. Some one staying at the camp was celebrating a 50th birthday and the birthday dance and song that the staff performed after dinner...

During our 10-day safari trip in northern Tanzania in January 2016, our driver-guide suggested heading south to the Ndutu area to check out the animals there. Working with our travel operator he was able to modify our itinerary to put us in the Lemala Ndutu camp for three nights. My wife and I took one tent, while our college-age son...

Thank you so much for the wonderful review and delighted you had a great stay with us. You are correct in that come the end of March , we break down the camp, load it onto 20 trucks and then we drive to Northern Serengeti where come first of July we set it up and open ready for the season...

The Lemaala Ndutu Camp was one of our best stays in Tanzania. It's literally luxury in the middle of nowhere. The main areas consists of the Dining Tent and the Lounge Tent. We really loved the lounge area for its aesthetics as well as the comfortable sofas coupled with good reading material, and indoor games. We picked up this game...

My husband and I stayed at Lemala Ndutu at the end of January 2015. Other positive reviews have accurately described the camp itself which is a really fine camp with very nice accommodations and wonderful location in the southern Serengeti. It is a delightful place to stay. However, what distinguishes Lemala Ndutu from other places is the home-away-from-home atmosphere that...

We felt as though we had travelled back in time to the days of the big game hunters although the only shooting we did was with our camera. The tent could easily have been furnished from the antiques roadshow with a campaign style dressing table and steamer trunks. The camp was ideally placed close to the border between the Serengeti...
