Stayed there in Jan 2014, during the low season. It is top rated. I've stayed at a lot of luxury hotels, and this one is definitely up there. There is only 20 suites. A couple if them have a close view of the rim where...More
We stayed here for two nights whilst on safari and could not believe the size of the rooms. Huge living room with fireplace, huge bedroom with fireplace, big bathroom and large deck area with table and chairs and lounger with views over the forest. It...More
We stayed here in February of 2014, as part of a safari tour. It was the last place we stayed at, and what a way to end the tour. Although everywhere else was wonderful, this place was not to be believed. We initially thought that...More
Everyone in our family found this hotel puzzling. Physically, it's gorgeous. Every room is a separate cabin, with an enormous living room, and enormous bedroom. Finished entirely in wood, decorated with African art, the rooms are lovely. Each comes with a large deck, overlooking the...More
My wife and I recently returned from a journey through Africa and the lodge was one of our favourites. The accommodation was first class, food and service excellent. Not a bad bungalow on the property.

Dear Marc, sunny greetings from Neptune Hotels and thank you for the message. Both directions are possible. My opinion is that it is nicer to have first a stop at Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge, enjoy a safari in Lake Manyara, Tarangire and Ngorongoro. Than, proceed to the Serengeti (you have to pass the Ngorongoro Crater Rim). Wildlife, well, is just great in both areas and is for sure a great wildlife experience. We look forward to welcome you. Also nice is to prolongate your safari with a nice beach stay at Neptune Pwani Beach Resort & Spa in Zanzibar at worlds' most beautiful beach :)
Kindest regards, Michel

"If you are traveling to the crater and/or Eastern Serengeti region, this is the best there is."
