This Lodge is unbelievable in its location, service, food and exotic decor. We stayed in the south camp and had breathtaking views of the crater. The rooms are over the top as far as decor but so much fun. After a long day driving in the crater you came home to a drawn hot bath with bubble bath, roses and...

As many have mentioned, the Crater Lodge is a bit over the top - but it was a lovey place to stay for two nights on our Tanzanian honeymoon. From the endless supply of roses, countless fire places, glass chandeliers and candle light dinners - it was very romantic. Due to price and decor the lodge caters to a certain...

from heated coverlets on the mattresses, to a drawn bath when you return from a day in the crater, this lodge does it all right. Wonderful friendly staff, excellent meals and views that are unparalleled this a a must stop on any visit to the crater and the Serengetti. Masai villages are nearby and very welcoming. We wanted to see the great migration, and the ngorongoro crater. We couldn't decide between the several AndBeyond camps and chose a 6 night trip, 2 nights at Klein's camp, 2 at Serengeti under Canvas and 2 at the ngorongoro crater. Each camp has its perks. Unfortunately we were too late to see the great migration in its full strength,...

From outside it looks like a Maasai village, from inside like a Versailles palace. Interesting and charming combination, with impeccable service including a pre-prepared hot bath when you arrive and a fireplace turned on in your room when you go to bed. And of course, sitting just at the border of the crater provides an amazing view in the evening...

We started our safari at the Ngorongoro crater and truly enjoyed the setting of this andBeyond lodge. Considering the high elevation, we did enjoy the cooler evenings but were very happy to have a warm fireplace in the evening and heated beds. Our safari trek started early at 6:30 am and we were back by 2:00 pm and decided the...

My family and I traveled throughout South Kenya and North-NorthWest Tanzania. This was one of the best places that we had stayed the entire trip. I thought that this was an exceptional place to stay. First of all, was the view. The view was exactly what you WOULDN'T be able to imagine. In the main dining area at the highest...

On our safari, we generally stayed in tented camps but gave ourselves this luxury. It is a beautiful property with a look of "Hobbiton" to it. The rooms were magnificent with a shower, bathtub with rose petals, a comfortable bed and wonderful chocolates and food at your disposal in the room. We were in Treetops which actually I preferred as...

This stay was the highlight of our African Safari . Beautiful public areas, a wonderful inviting accommodation, and a staff that couldn't do enough for you. The food was great and you had a welcoming fire in your room when you returned from dinner. You could watch zebra grazing outside your window while you took your bath. We were in...
