We stayed in this hotel after our safari ride in Ngorongoro crater. Upon arrival, we were greeted with welcome drinks. The hotel view was superb. It is situated right at the edge of the crater so the view down the crater looks amazing. The hotel interior is clean and modern. The dinner buffet was good with lots of variety. Cozy...

The lodge is in a stunning location perched overlooking the incredible Ngorongoro crater. The rooms are old fashioned - not very big, and the bathrooms cramped. That said, the bed was comfortable and they were clean. Magnificent views from the room. Wifi is expensive. The main problem though was the FOOD. The buffet was sparse and cheap. I have had...

We were a group of 8 people who stayed here on New Year's Eve and the general thought leaving was that the reviews were pretty spot on. There's just something that doesn't work at this hotel which is a shame because it's got stunning views of the crater and I would recommend a stay but only for that reason. Some...

Number of Passengers: 2 As you drive up to the lodge you're not sure what to expect. As you enter the lobby straightahead is a magnificent view of the crater. The check in process was seamless and your luggage was whisked away to your room. Although the rooms do not have a TV, there is an area adjacent to what...

I came here for a drink and a bite after visiting the gorge, and had a bit of a mixed experience. First off, let me just say that the balcony off of the dining room is so picturesque, it looks like something out of a storybook. The set up is a sort of rustic, refined train station look, and the...

Fabulous, stunning and breathtaking views from whereever you are in the facility. From your room to the veranda to the restaurant. The outside of the building is slightly out of phase with many lodges as it looks quite boxy and hulky in spite of its corves shape. The common areas are airy and stately looking, a bit dark and but...

A comfortable and scenic lodge on the rim of the crater. Get there before sunset and get up at sunrise. As usual in Tanzania, the staff was friendly and attentive. Off all a very pleasant stay. The architecture is unusual, stone and wood. The rooms are quite comfy, with lovely views. Buffalo walked by our window at night. The common...

Wow ! This lodge overlooks the glorious Ngorongoro Crater Conservation area and the views are spectacular ! A really nice , rustic lodge made of beautiful wood and stone. Beautiful viewing deck from the lounge. Food was good. Room was comfortable, but just a hint: you have to let the water run a very long time for it to get...

Our family stayed at the lodge for one night at the end of our Serengeti safari, and then went into the Ngorongoro crater the next day. The rooms are small but adequate, and the views are spectacular from the room and the large deck off of the common area. You're quite a distance above the crater however, so need to...
