Property's Favourite Review
For our last night on our safari, we decided to spend the night in a slightly more expensive accommodation than the previous nights. Lions Paw was worth every penny! First of all, its location is outstanding, at the rim of the crater, in a jungle like area, with a beautiful view over Ngorongoro. The apartment was unreal, big and modern, with nice furniture, a spacious bathroom with a nice shower, and a comfortable bed. As it can get quite cold in the evenings and at night, they supplied us a gas heater and a thermal blanket which were cozy and provided us with the best sleep. The staff is courteous and lovely. Dinner and breakfast were served buffet-style and it was so delicious! Best food we’ve had all safari (and food was great everywhere)! Also the drinks they served at the cozy bar were fancy and totally worth the money (fair prices). All in all, this accommodation is a real gem and totally recommendable! Asante sana

I had requested a room close to the restaurant as I have mobility problems. That was what we were given and it also had mobility aids in the bathroom, perfect. The bed was enormous, easily 8 feet wide but unfortunately this meant that there was only room for a table on one side of the bed. There were masses of bed clothes, sheet, blanket and a very heavy duvet. Far too much as it wasn't cold. Staff were amazing, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was good but evening meal felt hurried as there were two sittings. Our guide said that his accommodation and food were also excellent.

The lodge is beautifully designed and nestled perfectly in nature's embrace. We only stayed one night and the experience was perfect. From comfortable rooms with an amazing view to fine dining, this camp is highly recommended for a luxury stay in Ngorongoro's wild. Also, a special Hats Off to Zakayo, our dinner host.

Rooms were clean and comfortable amazing only wished I had stayed longer. John is a legend and a great server. The electric blankets are good for staying warm as it’s colder than the lowlands. Food is great and so are the drinks highly recommended. Only thing is the distance required to travel but should be worth the journey

The lion’s paw lodge is an amazing place to stay for any one whishing to sleep close by the Ngorongoro. The staff is charming and the rooms are most comfortable. The level of luxury was not expected in such a remote place, and thus it keeps its promises! The food is good and abundant… all in all I recommend to anyone, even with kids: ours were thrilled.

This was the last stop on a memorable Safari in Tanzania. We stayed at lovely places along the way, but the place was just the best - from butler service, personalized menus for dietary preferences, incredibly attentive and helpful staff and an absolutely charming and cozy "cabin" with a lovely fireplace which the staff lite each night for us. After a day on safari in the amazing crater, we were welcomed home with a hot bath covered with rose petals. A special shout out to Edward, Peter and Tumaini who took excellent care of each throughout our stay.

The coziest bed/room i've ever slept in. Incredible views, especially sunset looking over the crater. The service was truly unmatched - Staff is so kind and responsive. Also, there's an elephant that lives nearby - we saw him on the very first night! So cool. Very short drive from the bottom of the crater! Food was also really good. I can't wait to come back and will be recommending Lion's Paw to anyone I know.
