Its rather expensive for the 3stars hotel.
IDR 590.000 a night for the Executive Room, including breakfast by hotel voucher from KAHA.
Hotel website says it must be IDR 1.100.000

Plus value :
1. Near the sepinggan airport, just IDR 45.000 by cab for 15 minutes
2. Clean and comfort room
3. Large room with sofa, bathup and modern minimaliz concept

Minus value :
1. Not really friendly welcome at the front office
2. No free wifi
3. Has no view due to neighboring building walls
4. Quite noisy from the 'Redsquare' nightclub on the basement (don't the hotel want to try solving it?)
5. Poor breakfast :( There are just fried noodle and rice. Coffee? Ask or you'll never get it. Please add several menus!

I had a very good sleep during my stay in Balikpapan at sagita hotel. Worst things:

1. The pillow sheet was stinks, really. Like some sweaty guy just slept on it and never changed the seet for 2 weeks.
2. Since i stayed there for 2 weeks, the housekeeper was started to get ignorat, i could see dust on the furniture although it wasn't thick but it's not healthy. Also didn't clean the bathtub properly.
3. The parking lot is a mess. It is hard to park there due to how they arrange the parking line.

Best things:
1. The bedroom has a good atmosphere to sleep, i slept really well during my 2 weeks stay there
2. The location is near to good restaurants like Ocean fish connection, Balikpapan plaza, e-walk, dandito.
3. Indonesian meal that they serve for breakfast are tasty, the rest are average. Every weekend they serve gado-gado as an alternative menu.

The hotel is placed in the city but not near to attractions (public transports aside of Taxi is a bit hard)
3 stars hotel with friendly staffs
The pool is not too big but clean (minus that its placed next to meeting room, where people can stare)
The room are cozy and nice with rugs, but the bed is comfy, many plugs for charging electricity
The bathroom needs to be really clean, a bit old though.
The towel is a little bit looking not so white, maybe it’s time for a renewal
The breakfast is pretty good.
They have the most happening club in Balikpapan.

I was here in a business trip in May 2014. Staff reception was Ok and helpful. Room was large.
Equipped with large size sofa. But it's not very clean room. There was stains and human hairs on the sofa. Biscuits and dirts on the carpets. It seems like the housekeeping in a hurry to clean it up...
In the bathroom, looks not very clean. There are many stains and human hairs on the floor. Look at the Bathtub, it looks like 10 years old or more.
At night, I didn't know what happened in the next room, but there were very noisy sound like many crowd chatting...is the wall soundproof?
But overall it is a nice hotel and professional staff...I like to be here...

Very spacious old hotel. Friendly staff. Have gym and pool (didnt use it though).. unfortunately the internet is very slow and inconsistent. Plenty of space for parking. This is my second time here. But unless they fix the internet , I dont think I will stay here for the third time.

This hotel is quite big but they can not maintain the premises. The room was quite clean, but it has a moisture on the wall. Also a very thick dust on the window. Also the carpet needs a replacement already.

Staying in their business room, at first the hotel looks quite nice with minimalist but elegant style. The room is clean, quite spacious with sofa, TV and writing desk. Unfortunately the bath tub is broken, the water for shower are somehow yellow-ish color, the TV is still old fashion. Their WiFi worked for few hours during my stayed with a stable connection. However on the positive side, the staffs are nice and friendly.

Location wise, although it still quite close to the Shopping Center, you have to take a cab to reach Balikpapan Plaza.

Will I going back? Most probably no....

Fancy hotels often have this problem: the staff are not given any training to be able to solve your problems or to think outside the narrow box that management constucts for them. Hotel Sagita is another one of those places. The rooms are nice, spacious, and the pool area, though lacking atmosphere, is slick and modern. However, a couple of issues with staff really undermined the experience. The fitness centre is mostly broken machines. It was ok, but not sure I would return.

Nice hotel with good value for money. Downside are old TV sets and wear and tear of the hotel. With small touch ups they could gain a lot. Internet did not work for a week due to a lightning strike which was bad - only lobby had available wifi internet. The 'Redsquare' nightclub is nice and in the basement of the hotel.

it was nice experience to stay at Sagita hotel Balikpapan. The room is clean, quiet and comfy. I like the restaurant's terrace concept which gave me fresh air and green scenery while enjoying breakfast. Only a little problem when showering, the water wasn't clean, a bit yellowish and smell rusty.
