I must admit that after reading all the bad reviews, I was rather worried about my stay at this Hotel.
However, all my fears proved other wise.
Plus points:-
Very close to down town (walking distance)
Very clean and comfortable rooms and bath
Fairly good swimming pool.
Fairly good spread for breakfast (for suited for the local palate)
Good and polite staff
Minus points:-
Cannot think of any thing and am wondering why all the negative publicity about this place.
Would definately stay there again.

It was a good hotel with friendly and helpfull staffs. I walked-in on Saturday afternoon (7/May/16) as I was disappointed by another hotel which I booked a month before through the reservation agent or its staff. So I walked nearby and found Grand Tiga Mustika Hotel. The receptionist, Ms. Yuliana, welcomed warmly, provided clear information and made a good offer! I took the family room with reasonable rate including dinner and breakfast, local newspaper and wifi connection. Hotel has pool and close access to main road and Bakapai Park.

There were minor issues which I could tolerate, such as, dinner needs dessert and hot/cold drinks for completion. Telephone and mirror lighting were not working but was soon fixed by engineering. We were 3 adults but there were only 2 bath towels but it was delivered soon when requested. Overall it didn't ruin my stay there.

Nice courtesy and service too by Sisju Adi, responsible for the Housekeeping but he's quite going around the area. Any inquiries were also delivered to room immediately.
Good hotel and staffs service to stay! Will stay there again when visiting my brother and recommend to my friends.

I guess this is an Ood worn hotel, looks like unmaintained sepecially its rooms.
After one night there i move to other hotel in front of it, the different is like night and day.
The room is large enough but dirty and old.
Breakfast is poor with less option.

hotel ini memiliki ruangan hotel dengan plafon yang tinggi namun penerangan dalam kamar sangat minim, dan meja rias dilengkapi dengan lampu neon putih, ambience is a big zero..not to mention, gaudy. The corridor of the hotel, once you step of out of the lift, gives me creepy feeling and reminds me of the scene from Jack Nicholson's 'Shining' the Movie....Side table tidak dibersihkan dengan benar karena sisa2 sirop yang sticky bisa terlihat, the telephone collected dusts, and what is worse, the pillows smell awful!! I can tell the pillow cases are not changed from the previous guests. Although on the surface, the bathroom looks clean, the shower area is grown with molds! Needless to say that being in the hospitality business, you have to pay great attention to little details. The lobby reeks of cigarettes smell as people freely smoke in the lobby, oblivious to other people who are subjected to smoke, same thing in the coffee shop area. I dont know whether there is no regulation about public smoking in East Kalimantan or these smokers are just being plain selfish.... all in all, this hotel is a no no...

I stayed at room 521 for 3 nights for work. I asked for non smoking room. When I entered the room, the room reeks of cigarette smells. The room was not so clean and looks old-fashioned.

At the night, it's very noisy, like someone dragging chairs outside the room. So I and my friend can't sleep well.

The breakfast was lack of variation.

I must admit this hotel is far away from nice accommodation. However, if you just want to stay for one night to get some sleep, then you're OK. My company booked me for one night just because they cannot find any hotels available during weekdays. I stayed at room 317, big room with extra bed, but not so clean and looks so old fashioned, and although it has a great sea-view. But I got problem with air condition, very old ones not really comfortable, also the TV remote was broken, so I have ask to be repaired, even they have to change with new one.
Breakfast is so poor, little variations of food, poor service. Definitely, I am not going back to this hotel for vacation.

Staying for only a few hours yet i feel want to get out of the hotel. The wifi if SLOW! The room's quite dirty, there's cigarette butts on the floor of the toilet. A lot of water leakage marks on the ceiling. The remote control feels oily.
