We stayed at the Oasis Hotel, on a recent trip to Myanmar, and found the location to be great, but the room itself to be very basic (althouygh it had the most reliable hot water we had on the whole 3 week journey!).The staff was wonderful (I think all the people we met were wonderful) but the room was very...

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and the breakfast and facilities were great. Nice to have a pool to relax in/ next to and the gardens are really pretty! The location is great just 5 minutes walk from loads of bars and restaurants and you can easily (and cheaply) hire scooters and bikes from very close...

Comfortable hotel in a great part of town: near all the major temples (we went by e-bike and bicycle), restaurants, reliable bank/ATM (The AG ATM is trustable) and shops. Our room was clean. The small swimming pool provided a cool escape from the heat in the middle of the day and a relaxing break from sightseeing. The staff are new,...

Good location and a nice setting, but there is a lot wrong with Oasis Hotel. General standards of cleanliness were lacking; staff were a ragtag assortment of casual labour with indifferent service; mosquito control appeared non-existent; the shower was either a trickle of scalding hot or cold, both impractical for any kind of decent shower just as well since the...

This hotel was beautifully decked out with a lovely garden and clean nicely styled rooms. But in the end the price did match the overall quality. The pool was not usable as the area only received sun very early in the morning. The breakfast was ok, fresh cooked eggs and hot coffee but the remaining options (bacon, potatoes, beans etc.)...

I didn't even stay at this hotel after reading reviews about how old and tired it looked and that it needed lots of updating. However I did make an enquiry about it as it appeared to be fairly cheap then I realised why after reading all the bad reviews. Funny enough they still booked me in and charged me $360.00...

Nice hotel with lovely green garden. We booked because of the pool, but then spent all our time out exploring so never used it! Not sure if it's the best value in the Bagan area, but rooms were clean and everything worked as it should. Would have liked fly screens on the windows so we could air the room, but...

Situated in Nyaung U, like 15mins driving from airport. Not too far to the stupa's site in which located between New and Old Bagan. However, when you rent ELectric bike ($US 6/bike for 8-10hrs), in the morning would be nice, but on your way back late afternoon/evening then you will experience dark, cold n quite road. Should be safe though,...

Situated in Nyaung Oo, this lovely hotel is close to all that you need in Bagan. The rooms are well appointed, clean and almost hassle free. That is until you flush the toilet (leaking), take a shower (flooding) or turn on the TV (two stations working with a low annoying hum) However, this is Myanmar so you must not compare...
