Stayed at this hotel because I had a dog with me and Expedia says the hotel is pet-friendly and it's rated quite highly on Tripadvisor. Turned out to be the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in memory. You already get a sense of foreboding when you drive through the back alley and arrive at the unpaved parking lot. The hotel exterior gave it away as an old hotel, but it was really the dirty room that disgusted me. I attached pictures to prove what I mean. Old is acceptable, but dirty isn't. I can do a better job cleaning those dirty bathroom walls than their housecleaning. And the split type aircon was old, noisy and didn't cool the room well enough. The hotel wasn't even that cheap. For the price of Php2,400+, not including breakfast, that I paid for a night, one could find a much decent hotel room in Makati. So I don't understand the positive reviews on this hotel at all. By the way, I was told upon check in that the hotel actually doesn't allow dogs, but they let my dog in anyway when I pointed out that Expedia claims them to be pet-friendly. That's either good or bad depending on one's perspective. But if only I didn't have my dog, I would have hurriedly fled to another hotel.

NagaLand's location is probably one of the best in the city. It's in the middle of downtown and easily accessible by public transportation, close to a lot of eateries and shops.
There is a comfortable and rather photogenic coffee shop which seems out of place in its surroundings.
The hotel has definitely seen better days and probably could do with some sprucing up.
That said, the staff were very helpful and always ready to answer questions about how to get around and where to go.
There is no elevator but you can ask the staff for help with luggage.

We booked two rooms for our Bicol trip in May for two nights. The rooms are clean, and the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel sits right in the middle of the city, and is close to reastaurants , parks and market . They have free parking at the back of the hotel. Only downside is that their wifi password resets everyday, so you have to ask for a new password daily if you will be staying for a couple of days. There is also no lift available, which might pose a problem for older visitors. Rooms in front of the main road can also be noisy during the day time, so ask for a room facing the back of the hotel if you're planning to sleep during the day.

I would stay here again in my future visits to Naga.

Booked two rooms for my wife and her family group to stay overnight before she flew back to Malaysia next morning.
Both the location of the hotel and the price were reasonable, and the rooms were clean. However they have no windows which makes them a little claustrophobic.

The check-in process was extremely dubious to say the least: My wife was asked to leave her actual ID (ie: her passport) at the reception until check out next morning.... Come on! There is no way that any sane person going to leave their most important ID/travel document with complete strangers and risk theft or having their identity stolen; so she politely refused.

She was then asked for a 2000 PHP "bond" (deposit). Again, this is extremely dubious as this is a budget hotel, and does not have room service or anything to charge to the room.... And Someone who is about to leave the Philippines is mot carrying surplus cash to leave as pointless deposits. This was also politely refused.

It is also worth noting that the same family group stayed in a new 4-star hotel in Naga the previous week and were not asked for any of these things.

I booked the hotel for three weeks but had to leave, change of plan, after two. The hotel staff were lovely and always helpful. Only criticism is that you need a new password each day for internet and it didn't work in my phone, only my iPad. Very central, hence traffic noise in rooms at front but was able to arrange a move after two days.
Food in attached cafe not bad either.
