We stayed overnight at a room at 3rd floor. Good thing we can still hurdle the coming up and down since they do not have an elevator. Airconditioning is centralized, with hot and cold shower, TV, toiletries. There is no electric kettle in the room so we requested for one. We were given a thermos with hot water that night....

Stayed for the Mindanao-wide Consultative Meeting for Regional Program Managers and retained government hospital facilities of the Department of Health on July 26-30, 2016. Though the hotel stands for almost 3 decades, but still is serves its role as the place for accommodation like trainings, meetings and the like. What i like most is the buffet breakfast and the soup...

Checked in with officemates because we have an event in the same venue. It could probably be just that day, but we can hear the people from the other room doing the deed (lol) since then we never had booked to stay there. Probably because of the centralized aircondition the rooms are not sound proofed.

I have stayed at the Philtown many time on my business trips to CDO, it is like a home home from home. The reception staff are professional, smartly dressed speak very good English and are so helpful. Although the hotel looks a bit old it is spotlessly clean and the house keeping is first class. The security guards at the...

In the past 5 years I personally have no complaints. Maybe 50 visits in 2015 alone. As a disabled person unable to write, the staff at the front desk is awesome. They think outside basic customer service and adjust to my personnel needs as such. The staff has always been great. The few times I've actually sat and ate in...

My first time after decades. Although i am from CdeO, we are frequent here as the hotel of choice of our Australian friend whenever in CdeO and stayed here for almost a month. We joined him every now and then. Since our trip is unplanned, we hopped in the nearby hotels but was fully booked. Luckily, this place has one...

I haven't stayed in the hotel since I am a resident of Cagayan de Oro but I like their restaurant, they make good food and the prices are reasonable. I usually order their tenderloine steak with mushroom and liver and sometimes the birthday pancit.

if wifi, hot water, toilet that flashes, shower that drains, a thermostat, clean sheets, tv that turns off without having to be unplugged from the socket, disgusting- i mean downright filthy- curtains are of no importance to you then you found heaven. this is by far the worst hotel, if i can even call it that, i have ever stayed...

Room was ok. AC can't be controled. WIFI is free but you must go downstairs for signal. Food is very good. Staff very friendly and very helpful. One problem is there isn't an elevator. Over all our stay was very nice

In the early 1990's , Philtown was the place to be . I remember during the first Iraq war , people flocked to their restaurant to watch the war via CNN on their large-screen tv . However , as the years went by the hotel has been bypassed by most travelers for newer hotels in Cagayan de Oro . However...
