First time eating out in a restaurant since before lockdown, we were made to feel welcome but more importantly safe. The food was lovely and the staff that were working were friendly, there was a girl working that day she might’ve been management as she want wearing a uniform who welcomed us and showed us safely to our table think I heared someone call her Leah. Would definitely recommend going to The Mayfield especially if you’re anxious in going out at the moment as you will feel safe 😊

Stayed here for 1 night while visiting family in Scarborough. Modern room with all facilities you need for an overnight or even a few days break.
The Mayfield is a lovely friendly pub with rooms attached, serves a great pint of real ale although we didn't sample evening meal the breakfast was delicious, it also has an on site spacious car park.
Staff were friendly and obliging.
The only negative point was the pillows were far too spongy and it spoiled both my wife and mines sleep, we should have asked for some firmer ones had we realised before bedtime.

Stayed for 2 nights and was really pleased with the room, clean modern and comfortable. The bed was really comfy and we slept well. Bathroom was large and had a really good shower.

The pub is quite loud but we honestly heard nothing from our room (15). Parking was a bit tight Friday night but no drama as parked on the road.

Expected the room to have been serviced in the morning but it wasn’t? Therefore the shampoo etc was not replenished or bed made. No major issue but would have been nice?

Definitely worth the money and would stay again.

Stayed a couple of nights in the rooms on a Friday and Saturday above this busy and rather noisy local pub. The room was clean and fresh. We were aware of the Friday night music event, however worth bearing that in mind if considering a stay. The very loud live music continued until midnight. The lighting in the room made it impossible to use the dressing table due to the purple light over the window which couldn't be switched off when the dressing table light was on.
Staff were notably absent at check-in when we arrived so the first impressions weren't great. On the first morning we went down for breakfast and no staff could be found for 10 minutes either. The breakfast was good but it did feel like the hotel was a little under staffed compared with the pub which had lots of staff and with previous stays.

Stayed overnight after catching up with friends for the day.
The room (room 16) was nicely decorated with a good size bathroom & very clean ( the window frames had a little black mould on, & I’m guessing this was an oversight as it is hidden behind the blinds but the rest of the room & bathroom was very clean.
The bed linen & towels were great quality & spotless.
The breakfast was very good, the young lady who took the breakfast orders was very smiley & polite.
The pub was busy on Saturday evening with a mixed aged group, we managed to find a seat & enjoyed a few drinks.
For the price of the room including breakfast, we think it was good value for money.

A one night stay on a room only basis and as I booked late the only room left was the vast suite with 2 bedrooms off the large sitting and kitchen area.

Most of it wasted on me but you could come here with a small family and self-cater if you didn’t fancy the average food from the bar downstairs as it has plenty of facilities including a full size American fridge.

Floorboards a bit creaky and showers small relative to the size of the area. Also those bedrooms were above the bar and roadside and (with no double glazing) there was a bit of noise from both. That said a very comfortable bed and a decent nights sleep.

Plenty of feee parking behind the hotel.

Pleasant place to stay, visited family members in cayton and was needing a wheelchair accessible room which is so hard to find. We arrived yesterday 7th September for 2 nights so we are still here. Village called Seamer the room is on the main road which was a bit noisy but that didn’t bother us as we live on a main road at home. We had room 11 lovely deco with a fridge tea/coffee biscuits, hairdryer and even a Dyson hot and cold so very useful, there is 2 steps to the hall way to our room but there is a metal ramp to use. Bathroom well adapted and the shower was very good. We opted in with breakfast and May I say it was lovely had full English with coffee tea juices, could also had cereal fruit and yogurt if u liked. Lovely lady called Sue was very helpful.

Hotel around 5miles from Scarborough great to travel the coast line. Modern clean with great staff, especially Angel who went above and beyond. When we arrived there was no one on reception as short staffed. We paid for a double/twin paid more for the room than our friends and it was so small you could hardly open the door as the beds were in the way with hardly any room to move, thankfully we were moved on the second night, thanks to the support of angel. Our friends room was huge and when discussed with a member of management they mentioned booking.com could of changed the room…. Breakfast good but not much choice. We looked at other rooms and they were fab. Overall I would recommend and would return.

Room Tip: Not room 8 as should be a single. Room 12 was located out of the front of the hotel and very nice.

stayed here for 4 nights with my partner and was welcomed nicely by all staff. had our breakfast included. was pleased to see there was a vegetarian option as most places don't account for that. only a 15 minute drive to the seafront and about 40 mins for flamingo land. rooms were clean and we really liked the addition of the dyson fan in the room. had a drink in the bar one of the nights and was very nice staff were very patient and friendly with us. due to COVID-19 we weren't able to have our rooms cleaned/changed daily but there was the option to leave dirty towels/bedding outside the room for new ones. Would recommend for any couples getaway
