Hello Peter,
Pricing for meals is around $30 for a main, drinks are expensive although we didn't have beer at all.
Breakfasts are enormous with a huge range - it is very easy to eat enough for breakfast and lunch and you can always take some pastries back to your room.
Soft drinks are free and delivered to your room.
You will have an amazing time there, it is a fabulous resort and the service is absolutely impeccable - nothing is any trouble for your butler.
While we didn't have a private dining experience, there were a number set up on the beach during our time there and they looked incredible.
I would definitely recommend a private sunset cruise by longboat to Hong Island, this was a fabulous experience and in fact would spend my money on that rather than a private dinner if funds are tight. You are taken to Hong Island for a snorkelling adventure, then a cruise among all the incredible limestone kasts before stopping at a completely empty beach to watch the sunset.
I hope you enjoy your trip, I know we did.
Cheers
Vickii
