We stopped off for breakfast and couldn’t have been more impressed. We had a sausage sandwich, a full English and drinks which only cost £11! The service was super quick and the food was still amazing! The staff were also very friendly. We don’t have a bad word to say!

Perfect overnight stop over for motorhome with added bonus of superb breakfast, lovely host and everything so clean. Excellent coffee too. The parking was incredibly quiet despite the A1 and views towards Lindisfarne incredible. Its perfect for visiting the area.

Called in 30/8 for breakfast on our journey north, we'd were actually heading to Mcds at Berwick but as we drove up remembered we'd had good food here last year, so glad we stopped. I ordered the big breakfast and it was superb bacon sausage hash brown toast egg beans Black pudding and mushrooms all well cooked and very tasty. Good value for money.

This is our second stop here - once on our way to Scotland and now on the way back home. I had the Northumbria Breakfast last week and today a cheese and ham omelette. Both meals were superb...cooked to perfection with local quality ingredients. The omelette was stuffed with lots of ham and cheese and the sausages, in particular were very tasty. The service was quick and friendly. Highly recommended!

Myself and 17 other friends from our local walking group booked this lovely place for a Saturday evening in September. We arrived about 10am. Check in wasn't until 3 but we were going to be out walking all day.. yet Shaun the owner was helpful in making coffees and welcoming us. The place is clean, well decorated and there is a lovely deep bath/rainfall shower with masses of hot water which was fab to relax in after a long day walking. Beds are "springy" as some mentioned - but I slept rather comfortably. Brekky was plentiful, tasty and cooked to perfection, by Shaun and Ivan *who also waited on* - great teamwork! I must say a rather fabulous sausage too.. and that's a must! A couple of friends had porridge with honey and banana and they said that was lovely. Must mention the coffee.. Shaun has his own coffee blended for the cafe back in Newcastle *where he is from* and delivered over. What a gorgeous blend it is too! Nice little touch. We ordered sandwiches for the walk the following morning and mine was yum! - when eventually eaten in the middle of a field near Belforth.. tuna mayo blended amazingly with lashings of butter.. All in all, a well recommended place to "Eat and Sleep" and if I'm ever in the area again, will certainly call in to see Shaun and his team. A very jolly bunch of folk. Cheers Shaun. Hope to see you again soon!

I was on way back from the highlands of Scotland, and was really tired so decided to pull in and stay rather than drive another hour or so. So pleased I did- place was spotlessly clean, and friendly staff and a couple of others staying here. good chat outside and a nice nights sleep in comfortable bed. Breakfast was well worth the price and served by friendly guy who cooked to perfection! Will certainly stay again and recommend others do!

Stopped of for a coffee and a wee at the services in front of this cafe, spotted the cafe and thought blow it lets have a breakfast instead. So glad we did, walked in to a very friendly gentleman ( sorry I never got your name ) ordered an English breakfast and a Northumbria breakfast all cooked fresh for us, when we first arrived we was the only ones there, so we had a good chat. The toilets were spotless. Food lovely, and hubby says most importantly coffee was spot on ( proper barista coffee). All in all spotless, food great with a good atmosphere too. Ps loads of room to park

I stopped here for breakfast and to be fair, it was all freshly cooked. The place is clean, and the only hygiene issue would be the chef going outside for a puff on his vape! I had a veggie breakfast, and for one veggie sausage (it says two in the menu but when I pointed this out, the chef simply said “oh, does it...my fault, sorry”) and other bits of a full English, it was small portions and for £7.50, I do think over priced. £10 including the latte was in my opinion £3 too much and I’m sure there are other places locally which offer more and better. What put the cherry on the cake was the quite loud music, and another customer, clearly known to the chef, who came in effing and jeffing about his dog. I swear, but is this REALLY necessary at 8:30am in a cafe? I’m just passing through, and I’m sorry to be so negative but I’ll find somewhere else if I want food in this neck of the woods again. It is in a beautiful part of the world though!

Hang on a minute. You stopped for breakfast at 8am on a Sunday. You paid £7.50 for a FRESHLY COOKED vegi breakfast. You paid £2.50 for a freshly ground coffee bean Latte. Thanks for stopping and i really mean that and here are the facts,we are the only cafe open from 6am on a Sunday morning. The loud music you refer to is BBC radio 2,and it plays all day and some people like it and some people dont like it,Be rest assured that i like it.My chef, whom i personally know is the best about, not only at cooking but also at customer services, and as you describe he apologized for mistakenly only giving you one sausage,he did however also put an egg on your breakfast which is not on the menu. The other customer you refer to is a customer,we can not be held responsible for the customers chosen topic of conversation or choice of words, and how do you deduce that this customer is clearly known to the chef, what leads you to that conclusion, and even if he is known to the chef,as indeed many customers are,why or how does that offend you,do you feel perhaps that you should be the only customer,do you feel that all customers should reach your obviously high standards. If you were offended by the mans choice of words than you should have took that up with him at the time really. All staff under employment law have to be allowed a break,so the cheff having a puff on his pipe also offends you,why may i ask does that offend you.He has a break when ever the schedule of a busy cafe allows, some times that break is not for hours, and such is the nature of this game.Lastly you complain about the price,£7.50 for a freshly cooked vegi breakfast is cheap, and you will not get a freshly cooked vegi breakfast any cheaper.£2.50 for a Latte is also as cheap as it gets.To suggest you should pay just £7.00 for both is interesting,so £4.50 then for a freshly cooked vegi breakfast is more to your liking.Your comments just leads me to believe that you are a greedy faced and malicious nugget, whom seem to pop up on such sites from time to time, and please the next time that you are indeed passing through our beautifull part of the world jog on pal, because you will not be welcome in my little establishment again.People like you are nowt but chew.
