We checked in at the Hosteria and were positively surprised because rooms are spacious, comfortable and everything is clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and very attentive. As we stayed here during weekdays, it was quiet so we had two good nights sleep. We were a bit disappointed in the breakfast; there is not much choice: white mini breadrolls,...

I recently visited the hotel with my family and we had a blast. The food was amazing and the rooms nice and cozy. The next day we enjoyed the amenities and all the stuff to see and do at the hotel. Staff was super friendly. If you want a retro experience ask the staff for a "sucre" to activate the...

Perfect place to stay on your way to Ambato, Riobamba, to take the train at Alausi, or just to be close to the Cotopaxi Volcano which is no longer in yellow flag, not it is White flag. Food is very good. You will feel like in an Andean Hacienda.

It certainly invites you to stay Cons - The buffet had old bread, fruits were not fresh, scrambled eggs were greasy. - Coffee was horrible. - Attention was...

The Rumipamba is very comfortable: great rooms, nice breakfast, room with fireplaces in the night. Everything is great! Friendly service! The rooms are older but by no means antiquated, they're really homely! Definitely my favorite place to stay in Salcedo!

After a beautiful day touring Valcano Alley we arrived at our hotel. Reception area was dark and filled with an eclectic mixture of old farm implements as we're all the common areas and restaurant. We were warmly greeted and our luggage whisked to our room. Oh my, what a room....dark, funky, the smallest double bed I've ever seen, a bathtub...

Dropped in here for lunch having passed it many times over the years, Excellent fish and meat dishes, reasonable prices and good service. According to the receptionist this place has changed hands at least seven times over its forty years of existence! We walked around the large expanse of facilities and grounds (formerly a cattle farm) - certainly a strange...

I stayed here with a school group (32 pupils and staff) in July 2014. It was our last night in Ecuador after travelling around and visiting a number of areas including the Galapagos as well as the rain-forest. it was not what I/we was/were expecting. The rooms were excellent - very spacious and well appointed and the restaurant (more of...
