The setting is beautiful, the gardens superbly kept, and we had a very warm welcome from Eric, who cooked, and Philippe. who served, an excellent evening meal. Nothing was too much trouble, and we slept in comfort.

First Impression This place is sure hidden away in the countryside! No problems finding it if you have a GPS handy otherwise make sure you follow their instructions! It's tucked away at the end of a tree lined road and once through the gates it's fantastic. Nice deck furniture overlooking an extremely well kept garden. Greeted by the most friendly...

What a wonderful reception we received on arrival. Eric is so charming and helpful, and WOW, what a wonderful cook. We ordered dinner for the night we stayed and Eric sent us the proposed menu for our approval. It was absolutely wonderful. We sat outside in the sunshine with Eric and Phillip enjoying an aperitif before dinner. The beautifully behaved...

Tucked away in deepest Normandy countryside, this was a wonderful place to stay. Eric and Philippe went out of their way to make us feel welcome to their house and garden. Our room was really a series of separate spaces cunningly inserted into the attic of an old farm house. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and we had a great...

The property itself is stunning , huge garden and lovely room. the facilities are beautiful and very good quality. The breakfast was the highlight of the stay. Our welcome felt very strained and uncomfortable. It wasnt explained to us if we could freely use the property (garden etc) Overall we didnt feel like we would want to stay here again

Thank you for your review even if we are a little bit surprised by your comments on our welcome and that you didn't spoke about the dinner you had at the Clos (the only visitor we had in July from UK had it). It's obvious for us that the garden is at the disposal of our guest , there no...

Bernadette and I stayed here last week at Eric and Philippe are two of the most charming and attentive hosts - we know! Even 'Frippon,' their Old English sheep dog was extremely welcoming and friendly!! We were late for dinner.....we apologised......but Philippe still offered us a local Calvados aperitif before dinner. 'Old school' French charm meets a mix of modern...

We have stayed here 3 times on our way to and from Calais. The accommodation is spotless and the beds are very comfortable. The rooms are furnished in a simple modern style with interesting pieces of artwork around. Eric and Philippe are excellent hosts and we have had some very good meals there, cooked by Eric. The meal for 30€...

We stayed at Le Clos Beauvallet for one night in May, when we were travelling west to Brittany. Eric and Phillippe are the perfect hosts. We wanted to dine there on the evening but I emailed in advance as I was worried it may be a problem as we are vegetarian. Eric emailed back to say there was no problem...

“Only two rooms in the hotel. We had the more expensive, which was well worth it.”

“There are 2 rooms here and the one we had was smaller than the other room. You go down some wooden steps into the room and there is a large beam across the room which raises up from the floor so you have to step up and over it to get to the ensuite. It can be quite tricky if you get up in the night - an accident waiting to happen?”
