The all singing, all dancing Chalet Diana-Ross is conveniently perched between Bansko’s historic old town and the lively new quarter, placing you at a 10 minute stroll from taverns, bars and shops. What’s better, with our complimentary shuttle service running morning and evening, the gondola is just minutes away. The chalet sleeps up to 25, spread over 4 floors and boasts private en-suite bathrooms, comfortable beds and balconies with picturesque mountain views. This chalet is full of character; a large communal area with homely log fire, as well a separate cosy lounge featuring a large TV, retro games consoles, free wifi and sauna. Outdoors you’ll find table tennis and a large covered hot tub in the private walled garden. Chalet Diana-Ross is the perfect retreat to kick back and enjoy an evening after a thrilling day on the mountains. The charming Chalet Supreme sits within the large private grounds of its bigger sister Chalet Diana-Ross. Nestled on the edge of town, it’s a tranquil base whilst still only being a 10 minute stroll from the lively bars and shops. The chalet’s intimate surroundings make it perfect for families and groups of friends. Spread over two floors, this chalet can comfortably sleep up to 10 in 4 bedrooms, all with their own private bathroom. With its own spacious dining room downstairs and a separate comfortable upstairs lounge, the chalet is cosy, with a couple of balconies too. The lounge features a variety of retro games and boasts stunning mountain views. Outside you’ll also find a table tennis table as well as a shared hot tub. Chalet Supreme is a perfect mountain getaway. Here at Snomads we’ve always worked hard to make use of local, seasonal and organic produce from small independents where we can. In turn creating the freshest and tastiest food possible. We also make our own bread daily, jar our own jams, chutneys and pickles throughout the seasons as well as picking our own herbs for tea. By keeping it regional we reduce the impact of food transport and are able to support our local community, giving you a real taste of Bulgaria whilst limiting the amount of carbon emitted. We appreciate the Skiing industry isn’t known for its green credentials, but we have a conscience. Here at Snomads we’re passionate about offering great mountain adventures whilst minimising our impact on the local environment. In 2019 we forged a new partnership with Carbon Footprint and we’re proud to say Snomads are now Carbon Neutral. With much of the surrounding area recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site, we operate with the aim of protecting it and its wonderfully unique wildlife. As well as caring about our local environment we work with the charity Snow Camp, the UK’s only national charity to inspire young people to excel through skiing, snowboarding, life-skill training and qualifications. With every Snomads stay you stand with us on the issues that matter.

What makes this chalet experience great is the staff. People are as important as the place, if not more... we always remember the staff that help us, go the extra mile and are generally smiley and full of energy! We had a big group of friends, 16 of us, stay for a week in Dianna-Ross and there wasn't a moment that we felt we weren't looked after! They are personable, even after being up since 5am, and always up for a chat and a laugh. Unfortunately, one of our party had a little bit of a skiing accident and ended up in A&E - thankfully, the chalet staff made no fuss about picking us up and making sure everything was okay. The chalets themselves are brilliant but like I've made clear, the staff are what make this place, and why I'm sure we will be back.

The food was excellent but sometimes they forgot our to bring the child meal for the 1 kid in the group. Really nice spacious chalet but bedding/mattress were slightly thin/sparse. Nice friendly staff. Great hot tub after a day skiing. Gondola queue was busy as it was half term but you can pay for a taxi up instead! Fantastic that it's ecofriendly. Would definitely visit again!

We had a fantastic week skiing in Bansko thanks for the incredible hospitality of the Snomads team. The chalet was great, the food was FANTASTIC and the chalet hosts were very welcoming and good fun. We had a large group of friends but were able to mix with other guests at the chalet which was nice. We spent many nights in the hot tub, playing games in the lounge or having beers on the balcony. The skiing conditions were great and the mountain provided a good number of slopes for all abilities. Thanks for a great week!

I don’t usually leave reviews, however this stay was worth mentioning!

Snomads is a great company to stay with, everything was taken care of from start to finish and had a
fanatic week. Our ski hire was very well priced and even more cost effect than paying the fees for airline providers. The skis were in freshly waxed, and in very good condition, I am an experienced skier and they had the right type of skis in stock for me. It Saved us a great deal of time getting the in-house ski option and well worth it. The chalet and facilities were great, clean rooms, well maintenaned, charming fire places, great wine, huge dining area and comfortable beds which is a must for me.

I am a massive foodie and the food which was produced was exceptional. Knowing that the all the produce and has been brought locally and organic meats coming from sustainable sources, you can really taste the difference. The food was plated to high levels of presentation with big and bold flavours! My stand out meal was the braised pork belly, falling off the bone which must have had slot of love into it, perfect to come back for after a hard day on the slopes. The unlimited wine was locally sourced from and perfectly drinkable. We also have vegan friends staying at they said the food was delicious and hearty!

On the hosts day off on Wednesday they booked us in to a traditional Bulgarian restaurant just outside of town. We pre booked the whole lamb for 12 persons and oh my god. This was incredible - please see picture attached. This is a must people!

I wanted to say a massive thank you to the hosts for looking after us. Really friendly guys and you can tell they love what they are doing. Each day they would take us to the gondola in the morning and pick us up when we had had a few beers at the bottom of the slopes. The skiing is great in Bankso and Pricing literally is halved if not more, if you go to the Alps. , as an experienced skier the resort ticks all the boxes and have finally found a budget friendly resort and trust chalet company to stay with. Bankso has a magical feel to it and i am already looking at booking again next year

What a fantastic week. First of all the customer service our group received from the team out there before our travel couldn't have been more helpful. Maks himself was there to answer any question, query and concerned prior to arrival. Once in Sofia, our driver Tony was waiting for us at the airport fro a very speedy transfer. Though we stopped for a coffee on the way, it was still pretty speedy. To be honest, half of us definitely needed the coffee. Upon arrival both Maks and Rosi met us at the chalet, helped with all the luggage and then drive us through the resort to sort out our equipment, lift passes and some much needed beers. They both gave us all the lowdown we needed in regards to best bars, restaurants and places to avoid lol. Then it was back to the chalet for food, beers and se delicious local wine. Rosis cooking throughout the week was impeccable, and couldn't have been more delicious if she had tried. Fresh baked bread for every meal, starters, mains and desserts. Every dish I was asking for ingredients and methods, because we'll, I can't wait to cook it myself. The onion and Feta tart was insane. Every morning breakfast was prepped with loads of fruit juices, breads and cereal. Then Maks was on hand to do lifts from the chalet straight to either the lift station at the bottom or even to half way up the mountain. And then right back to the chalet at the end of the day. Just what's needed with tired legs. Om Wednesday they took us to a fantastic traditional Bulgarian restaurant 2 towns over. Maks called up the restaurant 2 days prior to preorder a whole cooked lamb plus rice and potatoes for all of us. We all ordered plenty of starters and aides (far too much haha) then the whole lamb came out. Wow! It was soooo tasty. Stuffed with rice and cooked with potatoes. Insanely delicious. A group of 13 of us went through 14 litres of wine and all the food, 1 bottle of rakia and. The bill was less than 30 lev each. Incredible value. Best part was that the restaurant let us take all the leftovers home in takeaway boxes home. These were then consumed at an axing bbq spot on the mountains which Maks took us to the following evening. Pictures below. Needles to say, we all felt incredibly privaledged to be there. The views were insane and Rosi even baked a surprise birthday cake for one of our friends. It was a special evening spent stargazing and eating delicious bbqed meat that Maks and rosi brought along, plus all the lamb and veg. We ended our week at a spa, which was so lush. It had 3 natural mineral hot pools, gin and tonics and lunch. Very strong G&T's! Again they both drove our whole group there, pre-booled massages for some of us and just made the whole thing so seemless. All in all, the service, amenities and care was impeccable. They are both great people and couldn't have looked after us any better. I'd definitely go back at the drop of the hat.
