The Premier Luxury Mountain Resort is celebrated for its exemplary cleanliness, with spotless rooms and facilities often praised by numerous guests. While the rooms are notably spacious and warm, providing a cozy retreat, a few reviewers have suggested the need for better temperature controls. The hotel's inviting atmosphere and impressive decor contribute to a welcoming environment.
Exceptional service is a hallmark here, with accolades for the friendly staff, outstanding spa, and convenient shuttle service. Although dining is affordable, some guests find certain services pricey, yet the spa and massage offerings are consistently lauded for adding value to the après-ski experience.

Detailed Reviews
We spent our skiing holiday at the "Premier Luxury Mountain Resort" in Bansko. We booked a room in this hotel, hoping for a five star vacation, but I would rather rate it by four.
The thing that bothered us the most is the fact that the hotel spa was very crowded. The hotel has a lot of rooms, but only a small pool, two jacuzzis which are constantly full and different types of saunas, all of them offering few sitting spots. Also, the other guests did not respect the pool policy, so children and adults were constantly jumping in the pool, preventing us from having a relaxing time. The lifeguard or the spa staff were not acting in any way in order to keep a peaceful atmosphere in the spa area.
We had a huge room with an inside staircase, two bedrooms, two living rooms, two bathrooms. The room was very spacious, although one of the beds was kind of small and could hardly fit two people, so I would have preferred bigger bedrooms and smaller living room. On the other hand, the room was always kept clean, the towels and the bath robes were changed daily, so I can't say anything negative about the cleaning service.
Breakfast was great, with a lot of options. Some evenings were supposed to have a certain theme, but this was reflected in the decorations, rather than the food. I have to say, although the starters and the desserts were really good, the main course food was defenetly not reaching a five star level.
Otherwise, the reception staff was keen on helping us, they were extremely friendly and willing to solve each and every problem. If they made a mistake, they will do everything to make sure they made up for it.
The hotel offers free transport to the slopes with a shuttle bus that arrives every fifteen minutes, which is great, because parking your car in the city will cost you 15 BGN (local currency) every time you enter the parking lot. Also, they have a rental service for skiing equipment and will also offer you a heated room for equipment storage.
Overall, our impression on the hotel was a good one, but the facts that I pointed out made me rate this hotel with only 4 stars.

Bansko is a pleasant ski resort with lots to do after skiing is finished but not a noisy resort. The Hotel is a fair walk from the ski lifts but a shuttle bus is provided. Shuttle bus timings could be improved a little. Get used to the fact that Bulgarian people take things very seriously so tend not to be very welcoming, neither do they smile: Do not be hurt by this it is normal.
The Hotel is mainly served by non Bulgarians and there fore they are very welcoming and smile. The Hotel is not a five star Hotel but then the price paid is not five star either. During the week the spa is fine. At weekends the kids arrive which spoils it; noisy and over-crowded. The buffet breakfast is superb; never had such a wide delicious choice with such friendly service. Lunch was out on the ski slopes. Dinner in was a bit expensive (as would be expected) but there are plenty of restaurants in the town; the walk back after is a bit of a bind but there are taxis.
The only slight negative was the 'interrogation' we under went by the lady manager after we reported a leak from somewhere in our room. It was strongly suggested by the lady that we had caused the water in the room. But this little episode did not distract from a very pleasant stay in a very pleasant Hotel and ski resort. There was an odd occurrence when we were offered a room change (because of the leak) and shown two rooms we might like but they were offered at an additional cost. On booking with the travel agent we had asked for a room with a bath and shower and were told this was a Hotel with either a shower or a bath but not both. One of the rooms we were offered at an additional 30 euros per night had a bath and shower. On arrival we were advised that we had a room upgrade but found our room was in fact the normal room. Odd.

Great hotel. We booked bed and breakfast. Breakfast was great. Filled us for a day of skiiing. Our room was lovely. Always clean when we came back after skiiing. We used the Spa multiple times, which was great after a to loosen up. Staff are lovely, polite and always talk to you. There is a shuttle bus to the Gondala every morning - although we walked it some days as it's only a 12 minute walk.
If there was any where this hotel could pick up in I would say - please put in electric showers and have a fixed beer tap in thr bar not the temp one as quality suffers, but this is personal to me.
We will definitely be back to this hotel and have no problem recommending it.

The only thing which was for 5 stars was the room & the internet connection .
The executive double suite , big with awesome views & clean .
All the other things was a little bit for a 2 star hotel
The breakfast very bad , all the breakfast hall was smelling awful and the lady infront was very rude ( she didn’t even say goodmorning )
It is good to know that if you want to have a coffee in the hotel you can only have it between 11 .00 to 13 .00 .
Room service charges 10 leva each time you ask something to order.
Restaurant : we ve ordered Caesar’s salad and they brought a green salad without dressing and without chicken .
I still wonder how this hotel belongs to “small luxury hotels”
Do not trust this hotel

+1
Pros: the hotel runs a bus to the gondola every 15 minutes from early on and then back from 2-5pm every day. The spa area is nice with jacuzzis, swimming pool, saunas, steam room etc. but it can be quite busy from 5pm onwards so best to go early or much later on after dinner. I had a massage which was good and they have 40% off before 4pm on weekdays and 30% off on Saturdays which is the change over day. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the main shops, restaurants and bars etc so easy to stroll down or get a taxi. The lobby bar does very good reasonably priced cocktails.
Cons: the hotel rooms are very dated and the cleaning staff don’t really do any cleaning in the rooms. 2 days before check out they just stopped making up our room altogether which meant we had full bins, dirty towels etc. I zipped up all my bags with the zip meeting the middle and when I came back in the evenings, my bags were all open with the contents all over the floor where cleaning staff had rifled through, which left a bad taste in our mouth. Heating systems are very loud and rattle all night. The breakfast is okay but all the food is served either cold or luke warm so we gave up on it in the end and went out in the evenings. Service is very mixed, some staff attentive and polite whereas others were rude and scrolling through their phones while working, not up to the standards of ski hotels elsewhere in the world. Outdoor pool is only open in summer, ourselves and other guests thought it was open as it was uncovered and steaming but were told it was unavailable so it would have been good to know this in advance.
Overall, if this were a 3* hotel we would have been very happy with our stay but it definitely needs some work to come close to being 4* or 5*

We had booked another hotel which was awful. We moved to the Premier the next day. The reception staff (Violeta and Daniel) were very helpful and accommodating. They had limited availability for 5 people (being the start of UK half term)but the penthouse was available and they gave it to us for the same price as 2 rooms (less than it should have been). The hotel is beautifully appointed. Regular reliable shuttle bus to and from the the ski gondola. Any requests or questions were resolved straight away. Couldn’t have been happier. We stayed 4 very comfortable nights. And the spa was amazing, with fully qualified physiotherapists providing the treatments - I’ve never had a better massage.
Would definitely recommend....

We stayed in this hotel in summer and there was really hot at that time so A/C was a must. We were offered a room where the A/C was not working and a maintenance guy came to try to fix it for three times were it was clear that was not working at all but he was insisting that we had to wait for the system to start cooling .
It was kind of a joke because that maintenance guy had no idea about what to do and at the end we lost 2 hours until the person at reception decided to offer us another room. That room was not so nice at the 1st one and in a different are of the building but at least the A/C worked. It can happen at anytime that you have to change your room because something is not working, but was a bit annoying this maintenance person trying to convince us that we have to wait 30 minutes for an A/C systems to start freezing.
I think because we were moved to a different room, the people cleaning up the rooms were not aware of it and never showed up in the 3 nights we were there.
Overall, a nice stay, with a good SPA to enjoy after some trekking activities and a good breakfast with omelettes made at your taste immediately, what is great. Location is not in the city centre but still OK for a walk or few minutes by car, not big deal. I would come again if I visit again Bansko.

Dear JICHF, Thank you for your honest review. We appreciate your opinion and the time you took to share it with us. We are really sorry for the inconvenience caused by the A/C and our maintenance staff and that you felt like you needed to wait for too long. We are doing our very best to maintain our hotel in perfect condition. Regarding the room cleaning, we are very sorry that you were not aware that due to the new pandemic regulations, the cleaning ladies are only allowed to enter the rooms if requested by the guests. The information is printed at reception and in the room. Thank you for the kind words regarding our SPA, breakfast. We are very proud of the location of our hotel. Breathtaking mountain views and closeness to the eco- trails makes it perfect for a relaxing and beautiful stay in the mountain. We wish you all the best and we hope to see you very soon as our guests again. With friendly regards from Bansko, The team of PREMIER

We stayed at the Premier for a week’s skiing at the end of February. We had a junior suite. The hotel was lovely, and our rooms were spacious and light. Everything was clean and the shower was great. The hotel offered a wonderful buffet breakfast in the Dionyssos restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel had a lot of amenities such as the bar, two restaurants and the spa facilities. Because we were there to ski, I only used the sauna, but the fitness and pool areas looked great. The hotel offered a complimentary ski shuttle to/from the Gondola each day which was necessary as it was a bit too far to walk in ski boots with skis. The hotel also arranged airport transfers for us too which worked fine. We would definitely consider staying here again if we came to Bansko and would have no qualms in recommending to anyone else.
There were no real minus points, but a couple of observations I would make are as follows: 1) I think it would be helpful to have the return ski bus run until 6pm, especially when the nights are lighter. To make it back to be on the 5pm (last) bus (especially if you have skis to return) requires leaving the slopes at 4pm. 2) I think small children should not be allowed in the bar after a certain time, say 9pm. We tried to have a drink one night and gave up as even at 10pm the bar was like a crèche, and full of screaming, badly-behaved children, running around.
Bansko itself was about a 10 minutes’ walk from the Premier, and a little further if you walked to the Old Town. It’s worth going into the Old Town as the restaurants there are a little more authentic and the food is great. We ate twice at the Oreha Tavern and the food was really tasty and so reasonably priced, and the people who ran it were very friendly.
For anyone who’s gone to Bansko to ski, I would recommend getting a fast-track lift pass from the hotel. It is more expensive, but the line for the Gondola in the morning is a long one! We didn’t have to queue for more than 10 minutes or so each day, so for us it was definitely worth the money. I believe the fast-track passes are only available from certain 5* hotels. The ski area is small (it is not the 3 Valleys) but we were very lucky with the snow and enjoyed the skiing. And Bulgaria welcomed us, unlike France, Austria or Italy, so a big ‘thank you’ from us.

Having stayed in 4 other 4 star hotels in Bansko, we thought we'd treat ourselves to a 5 star this year and were slightly disappointed. The hotel is a solid 4 star. The housekeeping was definitely not 5 star, glasses and cups were rinsed in the room sink, with milk residue left in the glass one day. The lobby and corridors are hot ... even by balkans standards, too hot to sit even in a tea shirt! Dress standards a highly enforced... no flip flops or sliders in the bar or breakfast even if wearing socks, we saw numerous people turned away, no shorts allowed at all in bar or restaurant and no robes and slippers allowed in bar area at any time. Yet they allowed onsie pyjamas and slipper boots in breakfast and a man with a vest in, which was slightly odd. Food was lovely, no complaints at all. We had to wait to book in as the room wasn't ready for 2 hours on arrival and were told that we were apparently 'upgraded' to a room with a mountain view. The photo is here, not much mountain to be seen and they had taken the balcony away we had on the original booking to do this. When we asked to be moved, we were told that the hotel was full, so not an upgrade, rather a fit in where we can I guess. All told, I'd save the extra cash and book a different hotel next time as the extras that apparently make this a 5 star are not worth the extra walking distance from the gondola or town.

Dear Kerry, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at Premier Luxury Mountain Resort and I am sorry to read that you found it sub-standard. The issue regarding housekeeping is unacceptable by our standards and you may rest assured that we will investigate it further. Regarding the heating, please allow me to say that this is highly subjective; everybody's perception of 'hot' is different and it is difficult to please everybody in this matter - 'too hot' for one may be 'just right' or even 'too cold' for somebody else. As far as dress code is concerned, I am surprised of your disapproval as this is basic etiquette in any hotel or restaurant, especially 4 and 5 star - just like you wanted to treat yourselves, others did too; by being in an elegant room and surrounded by elegant people... in appropriate clothing. Moreover, I apologize for your check-in experience, in times of high hotel occupancy there may sometimes be delays and we always try to do our best to not cause too much inconvenience. Regarding your room allocation, the hotel must provide a room of the selected category or higher - the hotel can, sometimes, for various internal reasons, decide to upgrade a guest to a higher room category while taking into consideration any special requests that the guest may have. In other words, regrettably we did not know that the balcony was so important to you or we would not have upgraded you. Finally, we take our guests' comments very seriously as we always strive to provide the best service possible and I do hope that you will give us a chance to change your mind in the future. Warm Regards,

Hotel was lovely and better than expected, room was absolutely fine for us with a separate bedroom, cleaned and fresh towels supplied every day.
We were half board, and have to say the food was better than we expected, fresh salad each night, fresh bread and nicely cooked meat in a sauce with a selection of fresh vegetables for sides. Breakfast was absolutely fine too. We are quite fussy but had no complaints at all.
All of the staff were very helpful and friendly, we sat in the bar area most nights for a couple of drinks and the service was very good.
The shuttle bus each day to the Gondola was great and very regular, as we booked with Bulkan holidays we also had a fast track pass for the Gondola which was a good send!! Otherwise we would have been queuing for around an hour!!
Everything about this first ski holiday was amazing and we will be booking next year.
